Have you ever indulged in the exquisite taste of Roohafza? If you're part of the Muslim or South Asian community, this iconic rose-flavored syrup likely evokes a rush of nostalgic memories. With its vibrant crimson hue and enchanting aroma, Roohafza has long been a cherished staple during Ramadan and beyond, symbolizing tradition, family gatherings, and the sweetness of shared moments. 🕌 🌙
Last Ramadan sparked my passion for storytelling in the digital realm. Inspired by the wealth of narratives within our communities, I was eager to delve into our cultural heritage. That's when I chose to create a video on Roohafza, aiming to uncover and share the rich history behind this beloved Ramadan staple.

So whether you're a brand seeking to forge meaningful connections, a product aiming to carve out its place in the market, or a creator passionate about sharing your unique perspective, seize the opportunity to defy conventions. Embrace authenticity, innovation, and boundless creativity as you embark on your storytelling endeavors.
Let's reimagine the art of digital storytelling as a catalyst for change, #community engagement, and celebration.

Every Ramadan, Roohafzah is a staple in many Muslim homes, especially if you're Desi. But a lot of people don't know that the crazy history of this drink actually dates back to the partition of India and Pakistan and is deeply impacted by it. For a lot of us, we don't realize that the foods that we may be eating at Iftar time have a whole history behind them. Foods such as Biryani and Pakoras traveled through India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh and are different in each region because of historical things that have happened. The ingredients and the taste is literally impacted by history and Roohafzah Is no different. So to understand the origins of Roohafah, we have to go back to the early 20th centuries, when the summers in Delhi were extremely brutal. People were facing heat stroke and heat exhaustion. And so Hakeem Abdul Majid, a pharmacist who owned Humdard Pharmacy, created Roohafzah, which actually is a Persian name that translates to the essence of the soul and one who uplifts the spirit. And that's kind of what he wanted Roohafza to do. So when Roohafza hit the streets in 1906, it was a massive hit. People were drinking it all over Delhi and it was. Being mass produced and it even started to spread outside of Delhi too. And by the 1940s, Roohafza was found in almost every kitchen in Delhi and other cities in India. Then 1947 came along, which is when things get interesting for Roohafza. So as we know in 1947 is when the partition of India and Pakistan occurred and this is when riots were breaking out in Delhi and the Muslim population of India was moving to Pakistan. The partition tore millions of families apart and Hakim's family was no different And so the eldest brother of the family stayed in India to continue Roohafza and humdard pharmacy. And the youngest brother travelled across the border and started Roohafza in Karachi, Pakistan. And just like that, the magic of Roohafza worked again across the border. And it was immediately massive success in Pakistan. People were drinking it in various cities on both sides of the border and eventually it even got to Bangladesh when Bangladesh got independence. And I think the history of Roohafza is very unique because of the fact that even though it operates in three completely different countries with complex histories, it brings together Muslims and others from all over the world during the month of Ramadan and makes everybody feel. Install drip when they took a sip.

Timing is Everything. ⏰
Especially when it comes to Ramadan ad timings in Muslim countries.
The holy month transforms daily routines, shifting prime time hours and opening unique windows for engagement.
But here's the twist: It's not just about knowing when to broadcast, but understanding the rhythm of life during Ramadan. The pre-dawn meal, Suhoor, and the evening feast, Iftar, become pivotal moments. These aren't just times to eat; they are moments of family, reflection, and community. Our advertising can be part of these moments, but the approach must be respectful, culturally sensitive, and add value to the viewer's experience.
Here's a thought: Instead of blatant selling, focus on storytelling. Share stories that resonate with the spirit of Ramadan. Contribute positively to the community. Engage with your audience in a manner that respects the essence of the month.
How we choose to present our message can make all the difference.
