Happy National #AdultEducation and #FamilyLiteracy Week! Did you know that here in Rhode Island, RIDE funds 19 community organizations across the state to provide classes and trainings for more than 6,000 adult learners a year? These opportunities build knowledge, skills, and confidence and help adult Rhode Islanders achieve their personal and professional goals. In the spring 2024 Statewide Student Satisfaction Survey, 99% of respondents (over 2,000 learners!) said that their Adult Education program helps them make progress towards their goals. Throughout the next week, we will be highlighting a few of the Ocean State’s amazing adult learners and educators’ journeys and providing data about the benefits of adult education not just for personal growth, but also for the community as a whole! Visit enrollri.org/adulted to learn more about RI’s adult education programs and to pre-register for adult education, #ESOL, high school certificate (#GED), job skills training, and pre-citizenship classes. On this #InternationalDayofEducation, let's take a moment to reflect on the progress made towards ensuring access to education for all. While we have made significant gains, we must remember that there is still much work to be done to ensure that every child, regardless of their gender, ability, location, ethnicity, or nationality, has equal access to education. It is especially important to address the needs of marginalised communities who face additional barriers to education. Furthermore, we must recognise that the #climatecrisis has affected every aspect of our lives, including education. As we move forward, it is crucial that we prioritise sustainable practices in education to minimize our impact on the environment. Let's continue to work towards a world where education is accessible to all and where we prioritize the well-being of our planet. #educationforall #sustainability #climateaction

This week we celebrate National School Choice Week! 🎉 But what's School Choice? 🧐 It's the freedom for families to choose the best K-12 educational paths for their children, understanding that every child is unique and learns differently. From traditional public schools to charter, magnet, and private schools, to homeschooling – it's all about finding the right fit for each student. At ACE Scholarships, we support the school choice movement. We believe that each child should have the opportunity to flourish in an educational setting tailored to their unique talents, interests, and learning styles. In education, a one-size-fits-all approach does not work. We actively uphold this belief by offering scholarships to private schools for K-12 students from lower-income families and advocating for expanded school choice. #SchoolChoiceWeek #EducationFreedom #ACEscholarships
