Happy National #AdultEducation and #FamilyLiteracy Week! Did you know that here in Rhode Island, RIDE funds 19 community organizations across the state to provide classes and trainings for more than 6,000 adult learners a year? These opportunities build knowledge, skills, and confidence and help adult Rhode Islanders achieve their personal and professional goals. In the spring 2024 Statewide Student Satisfaction Survey, 99% of respondents (over 2,000 learners!) said that their Adult Education program helps them make progress towards their goals. Throughout the next week, we will be highlighting a few of the Ocean State’s amazing adult learners and educators’ journeys and providing data about the benefits of adult education not just for personal growth, but also for the community as a whole! Visit enrollri.org/adulted to learn more about RI’s adult education programs and to pre-register for adult education, #ESOL, high school certificate (#GED), job skills training, and pre-citizenship classes.
