"Social Media Etiquette" | Riderflex - Recruiting & Sourcing In this video, Steve Urban, CEO of Riderflex - Recruiting & Consulting, discusses social media etiquette, emphasizing the stark contrast between online behavior and face-to-face interactions. He observes that while people are generally polite and respectful in real-life settings, such as at a tavern or grocery store, social media often brings out negative, mean-spirited attitudes. Steve points out that many hide behind the anonymity of social media to express hostility they wouldn't dare to show in person. Despite acknowledging the benefits of social media for business and information sharing, he argues that it has largely contributed to a divisive and toxic atmosphere. Steve encourages everyone to bring the same kindness and respect they exhibit in real life to their online interactions, aiming to transform social media into a more positive space. Boost Your Employer Brand: 5 Simple Ways to Provide a Great Candidate Experience As a recruiter, I've seen firsthand the impact that a positive candidate experience can have on a company's brand. When I was a job seeker myself, I remember feeling frustrated and disappointed when I didn't receive timely updates or clear communication from the companies I applied to. It's a feeling that many of us can relate to. That's why I'm passionate about sharing best practices for providing a great candidate experience. As recruiters and hiring managers, we have the power to make a positive or negative impact on a candidate's journey. And the good news is that it's not rocket science! Here are 5 simple ways to get started: 1. Respond promptly: I've lost count of how many times I've waited weeks for a response to my application. It's frustrating, to say the least. Make sure to respond to candidate inquiries and applications within a reasonable timeframe. It shows that you value their time and are committed to keeping them informed throughout the process. 2. Keep it transparent: When I was a job seeker, I loved getting a clear understanding of what to expect during the application process. It helped me prepare and feel more confident. Be open and honest about the timeline, stages, and what to expect. It's a simple way to manage candidate expectations and reduce anxiety. 3. Use clear language: I've seen job descriptions that are so technical, I needed a PhD to understand them! Keep it simple and clear. Use language that's easy to understand and avoid jargon. It's a small but important detail that can make a big difference. 4. Showcase your company culture: When I was interviewing, I loved getting a sense of what the company culture was like. Share stories, photos, and videos that highlight your company values, mission, and culture. It gives candidates a glimpse into what it's like to work for your company and can help them decide if it's the right fit. 5. Follow up: After the interview, make sure to follow up with candidates to let them know the status of their application. It's a small but thoughtful touch that shows you're committed to their experience. By implementing these simple strategies, you can improve your candidate experience and boost your employer brand. Remember, it's not just about finding the right candidate - it's about treating them with respect and dignity throughout the process. #CandidateExperience #EmployerBrand #Recruitment #Hiring #JobSearch #CareerAdvice Ankita Gupta Jennifer Dsouza Krishant Salvi Ramalan Saleem

Candidate Experience is your employer branding silver bullet. CareerBuilder's research shows a significant correlation. 78% of candidates affirm that the overall candidate experience is a reflection of how a company values its people. 💡The interview process, the communication, the feedback - it all counts. If a candidate feels valued during the hiring process, they'll likely believe the company values its employees. On the other hand, a poor candidate experience might suggest a lack of respect. Remember, every candidate is a potential employee, but also a potential customer, and a potential ambassador for your brand. #hiring #candidateexperience #employerbranding

Are you struggling to craft engaging and effective communication with your candidates? Ineffective messaging can seriously impact your employer brand and candidate experience. In today's job market, it's more important than ever to ensure your candidate outreach and interactions stand out. That's why I'm sharing my top 3 tips for Creating Impactful Candidate Communication: 1. Personalize, Personalize, Personalize 👤 Generic, one-size-fits-all messages get ignored. Take the time to customize your communication based on the candidate's background, interests, and fit for the role. Mention specific qualifications or experiences that caught your eye. 2. Showcase Your Employer Brand 🏢 Your communication is an extension of your company culture. Use a friendly, conversational tone that aligns with your brand voice. Highlight what makes your organization unique and why candidates should be excited about the opportunity. 3. Provide a Smooth Candidate Journey 🛫 From initial outreach to interview feedback, craft templates that guide candidates through each step seamlessly. Set clear expectations, provide resources, and make them feel valued throughout the process. Implementing these tips will help you create candidate communication that is authentic, engaging, and impactful. Your candidates (and your hiring metrics) will thank you! 🌟 Crafting Memorable Candidate Journeys 🌟 (P.S. I get very annoyed when speaking to interviewers who don't do a great job for candidate experience. Much worse, a poor one!) In today's competitive job market, it's crucial to provide candidates with an exceptional experience from start to finish. A stellar candidate journey goes beyond just the application process—it's about making every interaction meaningful and memorable. Here are a few key elements to consider when crafting a top-notch candidate experience: 1️⃣ Clear Communication: Keep candidates informed at every stage of the process. Transparency builds trust and shows respect for their time and effort - This can simply be "Break the Ice". 2️⃣ Personalization: Tailor interactions to each candidate's needs and preferences. Whether it's a personalized email or a thoughtful follow-up, small gestures can make a big difference - Share about next steps or share your socials. 3️⃣ Positive Impressions: Every touchpoint is an opportunity to showcase your employer brand. From the initial job posting to the final interview, aim to leave a lasting impression that reflects your company culture and values - Body/facial expressions are so important even on video. 4️⃣ Feedback Loop: Solicit feedback from candidates to continuously improve the candidate experience. Their insights can help you identify areas for enhancement and refine your recruitment process - It's not always how interviews felt about the candidate. It's not interrogation but an Inter/View. Remember, a memorable candidate journey doesn't just benefit candidates—it also strengthens your employer brand and attracts top talent. Let's strive to create experiences that leave a lasting impact! #CandidateExperience #Recruitment #HR
