The City of Baltimore always goes the extra mile during #BiketoWorkWeek and #BiketoWorkDay, and this year was no exception! Earlier today, the SPIN team had a great time discussing and showing off our e-bikes with the Lt. Governor of Maryland Aruna Miller. It was such a pleasure to also exchange with the Mayor of Baltimore Brandon M. Scott, Director Corren Johnson, Baltimore City Department of Transportation, Maryland Department of Transportation, and MTA Maryland, all joining in the fun!

Welcome to Illuminate Opportunity LLC! It is an exciting time for me as I navigate my path forward from intrapraneur to entrepreneur – one who has created and steered new initiatives within organizations throughout my career and now I am taking the leap to create and steer my own, in collaboration with all of you. Thank you for being part of my journey as a fellow innovator! How I landed here: Working across sectors and industries, I have learned that growing an organization can be compared to being a ship in the night. It can be hard to find an efficient and profitable route, yet there is an unwritten map that can be uncovered when focusing on people and sharing insights across organizations. Illuminate Opportunity LLC believes that people are the light that guide new ideas, solutions, and impact. We help connect the core of who you are to the people you are serving by offering a range of growth strategy solutions and tools that are vital for innovation and impact. We illuminate opportunities, so that you can navigate the path to a bright future. Follow along here (https://lnkd.in/gNuj5Agz) for regular updates – including innovation next practices, growth strategy insights, community partnership and impact trends, and client stories with a splash of perspectives from lighthouses. Why lighthouses? Since moving to Northern Michigan in 2020, I have been fascinated by the symbolism of lighthouses, so much so that I now volunteer as lighthouse keeper at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse in Northport every summer. Lighthouses have long been rich in symbolism to the world, representing: - Hope and Inspiration: Providing light in the darkness and inspiring people to persevere through challenges. - Guidance and Security: Helping ships safely find the shore, protect them and provide a sense of security amidst life’s uncertainties. - Strength and Resilience: Enduring harsh conditions, overcoming challenges, and withstanding adversity. As a Michigan soul with world traveling spirit, I am proud that Michigan has the most lighthouses of any state in the USA (115!), a strong symbol of my roots. Lighthouses have been part of my vision board for years, core to my decision making process and something that I want to share with you as I help you grow, innovate, and positively impact the world. Stay tuned for more reflections on my lighthouse keeper volunteer experience, which I just completed over the weekend!

Behind the scenes of a community outreach plan that spanned across 3 states. Things I learned: 1. Planting metal poles amid tree roots is a great team building exercise. 2. Blue Powerade >Purple Powerade 3. There are three different categories of barricades, thanks Hunter White! 4. Proclamations are fancy, accept them when offered. 5. When planning events silly things like desks and chairs take too much space in an office. 6. People are good, and want to do good. Give them the opportunity and they will rise to the occasion. 7. Though ribbon cuttings are a nice photo op, they signify much more than that. It’s about people showing up for you, supporting a common goal, standing behind that red ribbon and collectively saying WE did this. 8. I can now do hotdog to bun ratio math in my sleep, but if I haven’t slept I might forget to buy the hotdogs that go in the buns… #AlwaysLearning
