#Delhi and its ‘Air’pocalypse. It’s a never ending tale of how the national capital fails to deliver even clean air to nearly 33 million residents. The governments since many years have been coming up with new measures but what has ultimately impacted to make the situation better? The report by #CentreforScienceandEnvironment in its pre-winter pre-Diwali analysis says it is due to local pollution sources, with pollution from vehicles at the lead. In an exclusive conversation with #ZerinOsho on Delhi's worsening air pollution, we decode where the measures are going wrong. #Delhipollution #CSE #Stubbleburning #Airpollution Watch it here- https://lnkd.in/gSPDnvKp

Question: What configuration of air-conditioning and air-circulation/ventilation is optimal for homes and workspaces? Make this viral for all the CEOs of Bharat who can save way more money and the environment by optimizing. Takeaways: 1. Thermal comfort of location 2. Use fan and AC in tandem 3. Wear light-cotton fabric (like olden days) 4. Save a ton of money 5. Incentivize minimal living "This planet has everything for everyone's need but not for everyone's greed." - Mahatma Gandhi https://lnkd.in/dFX9ZsQA Thank you Sonam Wangchuk Sir. #ceosofindia #savemoney #savetheenvironment #livesimple #thermalcomfort #sonamwangchuk

At the Water Leaders' Forum during India Water Week 2024, our Co-Founder and Director, Mr. Siddarth Bapna, presented BlueVerse India's transformative journey in Sustainable Water Management for Industries and Businesses, addressing the environmental impact of vehicle washing. He highlighted the staggering water consumption in India’s vehicle washing industry, with over 2 billion cubic meters of water used annually. This not only leads to groundwater contamination and hazardous waste but also underscores the urgent need for water conservation, especially in a country facing increasing water scarcity. Mr. Bapna explained how BlueVerse is tackling these issues by innovating closed-environment washing systems-machines that are IoT-enabled, providing data-driven insights to automotive dealerships, helping them reduce water usage, comply with local regulations, and align with sustainability goals. Delhi's AQI Hits 1000+: GRAP IV Activated Today, Delhi woke up to an AQI that has soared beyond 1000 in several areas—a level that’s not just ‘hazardous,’ but life-threatening. As the smog thickens, the government has activated Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), marking a critical escalation in emergency measures. What’s Happening? 1️⃣ Stubble Burning: Fresh satellite imagery shows dense smoke plumes from Punjab and Haryana reaching Delhi, further compounding the crisis. 2️⃣ Temperature Inversion: Cooler temperatures are trapping pollutants close to the surface, creating a toxic blanket of smog. 3️⃣ Local Emissions: Delhi’s densely populated and industrialized regions are acting as pollution hotspots, exacerbating the situation despite efforts to curb emissions. What Does GRAP IV Enforce? - Entry of trucks into Delhi is restricted, except for essential goods and services. - Non-Delhi registered diesel-operated Medium and Heavy Goods Vehicles are barred, with limited exemptions. - All construction and demolition activities have been stopped to curb dust pollution. - Offices are advised to operate at 50% capacity, encouraging work-from-home arrangements. Why This Matters These measures aim to control the immediate crisis, but the root causes—vehicular emissions, industrial pollution, and ineffective crop residue management—remain largely unaddressed. Without sustained and systemic action, we’ll be here again next winter, gasping for air. At atovio, we’re stepping up by offering portable air purification solutions designed specifically for India’s unique challenges. While these tools provide immediate relief, what we need is collective accountability and innovation—governments, industries, and citizens working together to prioritize clean air. The air we breathe is suffocating us. Join the movement for cleaner air. Anti-Smog Misting System Every winter, New Delhi faces a severe battle with pollution, often witnessing Air Quality Index (AQI) levels surpassing 1000, creating a hazardous environment. To combat this challenge, Automat has introduced an innovative anti-smog misting system, now operational in Dwarka Sectors 6 & 7 across a 550-meter stretch. Launched in collaboration with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena on November 18, the system uses mist spraying technology to reduce pollution effectively, achieving a remarkable 25% drop in pollutant levels. With successful trials, this system will soon expand to other parts of Delhi, marking a step forward in the fight for cleaner air. Stay updated on this innovation and our journey toward cleaner air—follow us for more updates and insights! For more info Call - 9910902589 #antismogmistingsytem #delhipollution #automat

Subject: A request for reviewing of the vehicle scrap policy in India In India the government has already implemented a vehicle scrap policy. It is believed that it must be for achieving a very specific purpose. To me, this purpose can be: · To achieve a drastic reduction in AQM & SPM levels [PM2.5 and PM10] to a required low value [some people says that transport accounts for 17.9% to 39.2% of Delhi’s PM2.5 pollution]; or · To give a required boost to car manufacturer’s business If this has been for achieving a drastic reduction in AQM & SPM levels, only; then any authority [including CAQM, DPCC, CPCB etc.] in India can authoritatively say/confirm that by taking this serious step [by causing great inconvenience to private car owners]; there will be a drastic reduction in AQM & SPM levels, for sure; and people in India/Delhi would be able to live a happy & healthy life. To me, this is a well-known fact that after a every rainfall, there is a noted drastic reduction in AQM & SPM levels; whereas, after a rainfall, almost all roads in Delhi get flooded with water and traffic moves with a no speed or with a very slow speed; and all types of vehicles/transport contribute for a much larger air pollution than from normal days. So, based on the above government theory, the air pollution level after a rainfall must increase and should not decrease. Rest, government machinery may report/confirm & decide.
