Globally, especially during elections, journalists are increasingly facing growing online abuse, hate, threats of violence, and other forms of intimidation. In response to these unprecedented risks, the Coalition Against Online Violence (CAOV) is launching #ElectSafely, a campaign highlighting member organizations’ critical efforts to protect, support and defend journalists under attack online. Among the Coalition’s 85+ members, our work on covering elections safely includes research, training, emergency funding, legal aid, peer support and more.
