Our BioPlans are the source for our data and what provides our differentiation. But working in the commercial environment means that not everything goes to plan. But it also means being flexible and trying to utilise available data to explain what growers are seeing. In this BioPlan superior root development was a direct effect of the benefits of endomycorrhizae. We will be repeating this in the future to see whether it transfers to plant weight and thus gross margin improvements. The Muntok pepper processing process involves several important steps from harvesting to becoming a white pepper product ready for use. The following are the general steps in processing Muntok pepper: 1. **Harvesting Pepper**: The Muntok pepper processing process begins with manually harvesting the ripe pepper fruit. Farmers will pick the pepper fruit carefully to ensure the quality of the seeds produced. 2. **Cleaning**: After harvesting, the pepper fruit will be cleaned to remove dirt and dust. This step is important to maintain the quality of the pepper seeds produced. 3. **Separation of Skin and Seeds**: Next, the pepper fruit will be dried in the sun to dry it. The purpose of this drying process is so that the skin of the pepper fruit can be easily separated from the seeds. Once dry enough, the pepper fruit is beaten or ground to separate the pepper seeds from the skin. 4. **Peeling**: The dried pepper skin is then separated manually or with a special machine. This is done carefully so that the white pepper seeds are not damaged during the peeling process. 5. **Cleaning the Seeds**: White pepper seeds that have been separated from their skin are then cleaned again to remove any remaining skin or dirt that may still be attached. 6. **Drying**: The clean pepper seeds are then dried again in the sun or using a drying machine. The goal is to reduce the water content in pepper seeds so they last longer and don't mold easily. 7. **Bleaching (Optional)**: Some producers may bleach pepper seeds with certain chemicals to produce Muntok pepper that is whiter and aesthetically clean. 8. **Packaging**: After the Muntok pepper seeds are completely dry and ready, the pepper will be packed in suitable packaging for sale to local and export markets. It is important to remember that Muntok pepper processing is often done traditionally by local farmers on Bangka Island using manual methods. However, some manufacturers also use modern technology to speed up and improve the processing process. You can boil these potatoes, mash them up, and season them into mashed potatoes. Now, those $2 potatoes have transformed into a $6 side dish. Do you also know that you can turn those potatoes into vodka? Distill and bottle them up, and now those same $2 potatoes are worth $50 or more as a premium bottle of potato vodka.
