I personally think it is a little wrong to believe that anything conventional is uncool. Engineering as been a conventional go-to path of career for many young people, but the recent years anyone who is pursuing engineering has been looked down upon or pitied. Whereas I am coming across young minds who are pursuing it out of sheer passion and vision. I often get asked by young aspirants and their guardians, if an engineering degree is still worth it in today's world. My answer is a resounding yes! Engineering isn’t just about technical elements only, rather it teaches you to think critically, solve complex problems, and continuously learn new skills. These abilities are in high demand across industries. Even if you don't end up working as an engineer, the problem-solving mindset you develop will serve you well in any career path. If you're passionate about technology and innovation, engineering is a fantastic choice. #Engineering #Career #Normalise #PersonalOpinion #ConventionalIsCool

It is essential to remember that engineering goes beyond academic accomplishments as we move through the ever-changing world of engineering. Understanding societal demands and being able to use practical skills are equally important components of engineering as is acquiring a firm grasp of theoretical topics. Ability to create, solve real-world problems, and make a tangible influence on our communities is the true essence of engineering. When recruiting recent graduates in the engineering field, employers should take a comprehensive view. Candidates should be judged not just on their academic achievements but also on their capacity to work in a team, their level of creativity, and their ability to think beyond the box. Future engineers need to be good at working with people from different fields, coming up with new ideas, and advancing technology for the greater good. We need to rethink what it means to be successful as engineers and include these key characteristics in our new standards.
