We measure how much sand and dirt our mats can capture! Quality differences between walk-off entrance mats are difficult to see. Nevertheless, at Rinos we know exactly how much sand and dirt each type of mat captures. Sand and dirt that would otherwise have entered the building. How do we know this? By testing mat performance! One of the most important criteria is the degree of sand absorption. In principle, an entrance mat that is cleaned regularly can scrape off as much as two kilos of sand per square metre, before the mat is completely saturated (coir mats up to 6 kilos). We divide sand absorption scores into 3 performance categories.
