Huge Congrats to Pete November, CEO of Ochsner Health for being named as one of the “Great Leaders in Healthcare.”
He absolutely is one of the best leaders out there. In fact, Pete is one of the reasons I wrote my book, The Seismic Shift in Leadership.
While serving as Pete’s executive coach, I got to see first hand how he created connection by building a positive environment based on trust and safety.
During his team meetings, Pete would
⭐️ Begin with a personal question each person had to answer to connect on a deeper level
⭐️ Listen first, speak last. He never dominated the conversation.
⭐️ Allow for mistakes to drive innovation. He encouraged taking risks, thinking outside the box, and solving problems creatively.
⭐️ Let his team soar by empowering them vs micromanaging. He would encourage his team to try new things and figure it out together. Then he would ask what barriers he could remove and how he could best support them.
Pete is the embodiment of connection.
Grateful to work with such a role model in leadership!

2moCongratulations Jaewon. You are part of an advance party on an exciting endeavor; a capable scout, but a true trail-blazer with a distinguished record of founding new pathways. Navigating ever-changing environments, surmounting vicissitudes encountered along the way & establishing tangible structures or framework where non existed otherwise - all seem like very natural skills. Of course, I suspect there is a lot of hard work & focus behind your success…I expect you’ll continue to find & mark the way hereforward. Enjoy the journey!
