Good health is the key to a prosperous nation. Recently, Rise Against Hunger India in association with Community Health Centre, Chandan block, Bihar organised a Rural Health Camp. A total of 103 people attended the camp, where they were screened for TB, malaria and other health conditions. 50 TB patients were identified and are now under care. Those in need of further medical assistance were referred to nearby government hospitals, and free medicines were distributed. This initiative brought much-needed relief to the community, leaving them eager for more such camps. #RiseAgainstHunger #HealthForAll #PublicHealth #RuralHealth

The DRC faces severe humanitarian crises marked by internal displacement and insecurity. High mortality rates for children under-five, malnutrition and violence against women and girls persist. Since 2000, we have worked with the Congolese government and local partners to revitalize the health system, improve WASH and combat disease. By providing direct support in 251 health zones and maintaining strong relationships with local networks, we are dedicated to changing the narrative and trajectory of health care in the DRC. 🔍On today’s #DeepDive, we highlight Lymphatic Filariasis (LF), also known as elephantiasis, a debilitating mosquito borne disease affecting millions worldwide. With 657 million people at risk, and 51 million still infected, LF remains a major health challenge globally. In Kenya, 2.4 million people are at risk, primarily across the coastal regions, where it causes significant physical, social, and economic burdens 📉 Kenya's Ministry of Health has achieved notable progress, with over 90% treatment coverage through mass drug administration, reaching 100% geographical coverage in 2022. However, much more needs to be done and at #GANE, we are dedicated to amplifying these efforts by advocating for broader healthcare access, increasing awareness, and providing support to affected communities. Together, we can #EndTheNeglect and improve lives for a healthier community 🌍 #EndNTDs #GlobalHealth #CommunityAwarness

"Kidney diseases are a major public health problem worldwide, particularly in low-income regions with underdeveloped healthcare institutions that are severely impacted and exacerbated by poverty, and poor governance where healthcare coverage is very limited. Providing care to patients with kidney diseases is very challenging in Somalia due to the lack of nephrology services. Kidney replacement therapy is a necessary life-sustaining treatment unfortunately it’s not available throughout the country and remains only in the major cities This significant treatment gap requires a focus on a population-based prevention methods and the establishment of accessible and affordable renal replacement therapy. let us unite in raising awareness and promoting kidney health for all." Priority actions to reduce maternal mortality must include clean and safe births. These are impossible to achieve when health care facilities do not have #water #sanitation and good #hygiene #WASH. And remember it is among the top asks from women for maternal health.
