Welcome, Mike Huber! Cheers to changing the ECE field for the better 🍾

We are so excited to share a new member of our Rise Early team with you all. Mike Huber will be coming on board in October as our Director of Curriculum. Mike has been in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education since 1992. He is the author of Inclusion Includes Us: Building Bridges and Removing Barriers to Include All Children and Adults in Early Childhood Classrooms (Redleaf Press 2022) and Embracing Rough and Tumble Play: Teaching with the Body in Mind (Redleaf Press, 2016), as well as six picture books including The Amazing Erik (Redleaf Lane, 2014). He is the co-host of the podcast Teaching with the Body in Mind and a frequent guest on That Early Childhood Nerd. He has served on the Boards of MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN, Child Care Aware of Minnesota, and the American Association for the Child’s Right to Play, as well as leadership of Transforming Families MN working with families of trans youth and children.  In his role, Mike will lead the implementation of our Reggio-Inspired, antibias, trauma-informed curriculum model. He will provide direct coaching and guidance to our incredible educators, and he will continuously push for quality and improvement in our delivery model for Rise Early scholars.
