Got an Ally❓
If you have one, then you know how powerful they can be. Unlocking opportunities, opening closed doors, creating more seats and more tables for those who are often overlooked or underestimated for no good reason.
As I look back over my career, I am incredibly thankful to the many allies that shaped my career and life in amazing ways. To Aline Santos Farhat who gave me opportunity after opportunity on the Dirt Is Good global Unilever brand, to ZEYNEP YALIM UZUN, my amazing ex Unilever VP - boss and now dear friend, who consistently spoke up for me when I wasn’t in the room and gave me the space to show my best self. I will always cherish how she went above and beyond to support me during a particularly tough career moment. To Massimo Pozzetti, who gave me my first global marketing role, seeing my talent and drive above all else, to Akeem Adebeso who patiently guided me through my very early brand marketing roles, and to Katie Moran who gave me the space and the safety net to thrive in the world of Kimberly Clark. I could go on and on , mentioning so many others, but you get the picture.
🌟 Being an Ally is like creating a legacy that goes beyond you. I am grateful to those that supported me.
🌟 Having an Ally can be a career lifeline. It's not easy to find people like this in your career, which is why it's so crucial we help the next generation find theirs.
🌟 That's why I remain passionate about 100 Allies , the ground breaking initiative that encourages and facilitates industry-wide ally-ship and sponsorship, transitioning high potential women and diverse rising stars into strategic leadership roles.
🌟 If you support this mission and have a story to tell share yours using hashtag
#100Allies. If you know a rising star that needs Ally , then be one, spread the word.
P.S: The picture is of Zenyep and I way back in 2018. I can’t recall what we were doing, but you better believe it was fun!!!! Thank you again Zeynep, you are the definition of an Ally.

Happy NewYear to all my amazing colleagues at #BTGroup and to everyone in the incredible telco world!
As we bid farewell to the past year and welcome the new one with open arms, let's take a moment to reflect on the journey we've been on and the impact we can have on the world around us.
The start of a new year is often a time for resolutions, goals, and aspirations. We set out with the intention to make positive changes in our lives, and sometimes we may even dream of changing the world. But as the brilliant poet Rumi once said, "Yesterday, I was clever and I wanted to change the world. Today, I am wise and I wanted to change myself."
These wise words reminds us that true change begins within ourselves. It's about embracing personal growth, learning from our experiences, and evolving as individuals. As we embark on this new year, let's focus on how we can make a difference in the world by first changing ourselves.
But let's not forget that our impact extends beyond our professional roles. The small acts of kindness, empathy, and understanding we show towards one another can create ripples of positivity that reach far beyond our immediate surroundings.
So, as we step into this new year together, let's embrace the opportunity to change ourselves and, by doing so, make a lasting impact on the world. Let's continue to #innovate, #collaborate, and #inspire one another to reach new heights. And let's never forget the immense power we hold to shape a future that is brighter and more inclusive for all.
Here's to a year filled with growth, success, and positive change! 🌟 Happy New Year! 🎉

Bold Action & Humor Catalyst | Exec leaders and teams who take smart risks and innovate bold ideas everywhere | Laughter-filled Interactive Keynotes | MC | Workshops | Author | CEO, Keeping it Human℠
I am 14 today 😂 🎂 🎉
...Ok, well, my business is.
The shift in Keeping it Human℠ (est. 2010)?
From comms and story in 2010 to (pandemic shift) creating shifts at the highest levels of the organization: leaders, teams who change culture.
WHY
I saw brilliant marketing, product, sales teams who didn't innovate and it had nothing to do with their ability. It had to do with a lack of CULTURE SUPPORT.
MY MISSION
To bring humor, laughter and levity back. Helping leaders and teams create braver, bolder people and workplaces. When you feel lighter, safer, included, AND increase trust - we change how we show up, connect, communicate and innovate more boldly. We feel equipped to try, learn, fail and grow. SUPPORT.
I am bringing sexy laughter back...move over JT.
Because what happens further downstream is an issue upstream in culture.
I BELIEVE many issues - adaptability, fear, productivity, inclusion, collaboration - could be helped with more humanity and humor (no, funny is not required) where we SEE each other, ACCEPT each other, YES AND each other, laugh together and MOVE FORWARD cohesively.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS RIDE WITH ME

🥳Celebrating One Year Anniversary Post🥳
As I reflect on this milestone, I wanted to share some insights I've gained about myself over the past year. These lessons are especially for those just beginning their journey in the workforce, for those looking to rekindle their passion, and for young black women, navigating corporate America.
1. YOU BELONG: If you're in the room, it's because you deserve to be there. Trust that you are meant to be where you are.
2. YOU’RE AN INNOVATOR: You're not just an "idea fairy." You have the determination and resilience to bring your ideas to life.
3. PRIORITIZE SELF-CARE: It's crucial to find ways to energize yourself outside of work. When you pour into yourself, you can pour into others. Remember, it's a life-work balance, not the other way around.
4. EMBRACE THE SHIFT: Be willing to adjust your approach for better understanding and growth. Shifting is about evolving for yourself, not for others. It's about navigating the journey, not changing who you are.
5. YOU ARE VALUABLE: Your experiences leading up to this point have been a curation of specifics that make you valuable. No one else can bring or express your perspective in the same way you do. Get comfortable with articulating and showcasing that value!
5. DO IT ALL WITH A SMILE: Even on challenging days, keep smiling. Be the bright spot in your environment, and let your positivity shine through.
Here's to the journey, the growth, and the lessons learned! Happy anniversary to me!🫶🏾

🎉Today We’re Talking About Celebrating: The Power of Acknowledging Milestones!
Sometimes it can be easy to overlook milestones. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, recognizing achievements both big and small is about fostering connections, and cultivating a culture of positivity and support within our professional circles. Here are some ways celebrating encourages your team:
1. Boost Morale: Celebrate milestones – whether it's a project launch, work anniversary, or personal achievement – boost morale and keep the momentum going!
2. Foster Connections: Acknowledge and celebrate each other's successes, we strengthen bonds, build camaraderie, and create a sense of belonging!
3. Inspire Growth: Provide supportive feedback through celebrating milestones and acknowledge achievements. We’re able to set a standard of excellence and encourage others to reach farther.
4. Amplify Visibility: Celebrate on platforms like LinkedIn to amplify the visibility of achievements, both for individuals and organizations.

Have you heard the question, “if a tree falls in a forest and no-one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”.
Well, how about, “If you do great work but don’t talk about it, does it exist?!”.
It's Career Month at Pepsi Lipton and this week I attended an “I am Remarkable” workshop, joining the global movement to empower everyone to celebrate their own accomplishments in the workplace and beyond.
Many of us aren’t used to viewing self-promotion as a positive trait, but it’s a powerful way to take charge of our own narrative and value ourselves vocally for the greater good.
Like a lot of people, I find self-promotion hard. While I’m happy to be a hype woman for others and recognise their talents and gifts, when it comes to myself it’s not so easy.
Here’s what I took away:
⭐️ Self-promotion can be empowering. More than that, it’s important – especially for women and underrepresented groups – that we talk about what makes us valuable in a way that others truly hear. It’s also foundational for our self-confidence, wider team morale, and personal career progression that we hear positive things about ourselves – even when it’s us saying them!
⭐️ By embracing self-promotion, we show others that it’s OK for them to be confident in themselves and vocalise that too. For me, personally, hearing colleagues share their “I am remarkable” statements gave me chills of the best kind and made me more comfortable – excited even – to share mine. We are so powerful when we uplift ourselves and others at the same time.
⭐️ It’s not bragging if it’s based on facts. ✋🎤
So go on and try it for yourself. I dare you. I am remarkable because...

Huge thanks to Anastasia Lavrentyeva for leading such an inspiring and engaging session.
"Honoring cultural diversity requires more than corporate statements during a designated month long period. There must be intention and action behind these celebratory campaigns." Eleanor Hawkins, Axios
Heritage Month season is just as week away....👀
.....and in a time of backlash and a laser focus on action and proof points (aka the receipts!), sharing useful guidance I spoke to Axios about that's still relevant today.
If you're preparing or finalizing your content, messaging and storytelling approach...
Make sure you:
✅ Include thought partners who represent the community or demographic you're looking to recognize and honor.
✅ Align external statements & campaign what you're doing internally to support, uplift and celebrate the community.
✅ Spotlight the people from the representative community in an empathetic and personal way.
Most importantly...
👉🏽👉🏽 Ensure your heritage month campaigns are part of a year-long effort to support their employees and communities.

Why celebration matters more than you think! 🎉
Celebrating success is crucial—it lifts spirits and boosts morale.
Companies can support employees by acknowledging their achievements, big or small.
A simple "thank you" or recognition goes a long way in making someone feel valued. It's amazing how such gestures can brighten someone's day or even their entire month.
Let's make it a habit to celebrate each other's victories—because everyone deserves to feel appreciated and encouraged.
Keep up the great work! 🎉
If you do your job within the time allotted, to the expected standard, without preventable costs, while carrying all parties concerned along, you have done what you were hired to do. If you add initiative, and proper consultation to that, (so you and those concerned are always on the same page), there's no more to ask of you.
If you are eager to support others, helping them keep pace with work processes, making yourself a solutions and productivity hub, if you share information and productivity tools you have developed or learnt with your team, or whoever needs them, if you are a voice of positivity when there's a blanket of doubt and difficulty, you have become what stars are made of!
Know what needs to be done, know how to get it done, know the standard, exceed the standard, help others excel, create a community that prioritizes the values of excellence; that's how to be outstanding!
It's a brand new week. Make this week count!
