UK to lead NATO’s 2024 rapid response force - NATO "The VJTF is the highest-readiness element of NATO's larger Response Force, which also includes air and maritime forces. In 2024, VJTF land forces will comprise some 6,000 thousand troops, with the 7th Light Mechanised Brigade Combat Team – “the Desert Rats” - at its core." ✈️📦 Marshall has signed a deal to develop a “containerized” system that will simplify logistics and aircraft and personnel deployment for the United States Air Force. Marshall’s Deployable Operations and Maintenance System (DOMS) will allow easier access to common support equipment for the force’s aircraft while also supporting aircrews in rapid deployments. “DOMS is a contract that will allow Marshall to play to several key strengths, including multi-domain logistics engineering, rapidly deployable infrastructure and capability enhancement for an aircraft we have supported for nearly 60 years,“ Marshall Chief Growth Officer Bob Baxter said. The evolving dynamics of global air power increasingly spotlight the contrast between the U.S. Air Force's aging fleet and China's rapidly modernizing aerial might. 🌏✈️ Recent analyses shed light on fleet composition similarities between Russian Aerospace Forces and the U.S. Air Force. Over 50% of VKS tactical airframes are more than 30 years old. The USAF doesn't score much better, only dipping to 29.1 years with recent acquisitions such as the KC-46.
