As we witness the devastating impact of wildfires in Los Angeles, it's crucial for us to come together as a community. Here are some ways you can help: Donate: Financial contributions can make a significant difference. Consider donating to local relief organizations that are providing immediate assistance to affected families. Volunteer: Your time and skills can be invaluable. Look for local shelters or organizations that need volunteers to help with recovery efforts. Spread Awareness: Share information about the situation and ways to help within your network. The more people know, the more support we can rally. Offer Resources: If you have supplies, such as food, clothing, or hygiene products, consider organizing a collection drive in your community. Let's stand in solidarity with those affected and show that together, we can rebuild and recover. 💪❤️#LAWildfire #CommunitySupport #DisasterRelief #TogetherWeCan

The images are beyond belief, I am reminded of the sheer disbelief we felt in 2019 when Australia faced the heartbreak of fires ravaging our country. In times like these, it will take a collective effort over many months (years) to support and rebuild. If you are looking to understand who partners in Disaster Recovery Good360 is a great place to start
As the Southern California wildfires continue to spread, Good360 is keeping a close eye on the evolving situation. We are in touch with nonprofit organizations in the region and stand ready to provide support wherever it will have the greatest impact. Our Disaster Recovery team knows that timing is everything in response efforts. We’ll communicate with donors and partners as soon as we have more information about the products needed and the areas requiring the most assistance. To those affected, our hearts are with you. To everyone else, we urge caution: sending unrequested goods can delay recovery. The best way to help right now is to donate funds. Together, we can help these communities recover. #californiawildfires #disasterrecovery #resilience https://lnkd.in/ehs3mgC3

A special shout-out to our friends at Good360 US, who are stepping up to provide critical support during the devastating Southern California wildfires. Our thoughts are with the affected communities during this incredibly challenging time. Here at Good360 Australia, we’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact of back-to-back disasters and the importance of delivering the right goods at the right time. Alarmingly, up to 60% of donated goods in disasters end up in landfill, which is why targeted and thoughtful giving is so crucial. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Good360 US and other organisations on the ground, disaster-affected communities can receive the support they need, both for immediate relief and long-term recovery. You can help make a difference by supporting their recovery efforts here: https://lnkd.in/ehs3mgC3 #DisasterRecovery #CaliforniaWildfires #EmergencyRelief #MakingADifference

The devastating fires in Southern California have taken lives, homes, and parts of communities. We grieve with those affected. America’s trucking industry is already stepping up to support relief efforts, and here’s how you can help: Please don’t send physical supplies to Southern California at this time. There’s no space to store them, and managing excess donations creates challenges for relief efforts. Instead, consider making a donation to support response activities. If you have logistics resources like warehouse space, trucks, equipment, or supplies to donate, please offer them now at the link below. https://lnkd.in/gzk7MwMR

The Short Version: Ancora Ministries is trying to raise $15,000 this month to buy a 2nd vehicle in Guatemala, and I’m not going to shave until we have what we need. Nobody wants to look at my scruffy mug, so would you consider donating to this campaign? https://lnkd.in/gPshB-eF The Longer Version: We might be on Day #921 of Silly Socks (You’ll find them in the comments.) but it’s Day #7 of No Shave July/Summer/However Long It Takes. If you know me, you know I do silly stuff to being attention to things I think are important. Things like helping Ancora eradicate child hunger & malnutrition in Central Texas and Guatemala. This particular stunt is about the Guatemala part. Guatemala is somewhat spread out, and turns out, it takes multiple teams to serve the 20 communities where Ancora has nutrition programs. Currently we have 2 teams and 1 vehicle to serve a geographic footprint that takes 7 hours to drive from northernmost community to southernmost. We need to buy another used vehicle so that both of our teams can serve their geographic areas. True Story: If we’re going to make a difference in the malnutrition fight, we’re going to need the infrastructure - like personnel and transportation - to do it. This fundraiser is hugely important in helping us serve the kids in our 20 communities, AND it sets us up to continue to add children (and communities) to our programs.
