Mental Health Specialist Coach, I help executives who are facing workplace bullying to take control of their situation, and resume their job duties with confidence.
When Commitment is No Longer Possible, It May Be Time to Say Goodbye to Nursing. As nurses, we take immense pride in the level of commitment we bring to our roles. Caring for vulnerable patients in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment requires unwavering focus, compassion, and a true dedication to the profession. However, the harsh realities of the current NHS landscape mean that for many of us, that level of commitment is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. Understaffing, long hours, relentless workloads, and the emotional toll of the job can leave even the most resilient nurses feeling drained and disillusioned. When we reach the point where we can no longer give 100% to our patients, it may be time to make the difficult decision to leave nursing altogether. Quiet quitting is simply not an option - our patients deserve caregivers who are fully present and committed to their wellbeing. But continuing to soldier on when our hearts are no longer in it is also unsustainable. This is an immensely challenging realisation for many of us. Nursing isn't just a job, it's a calling. Walking away from that can feel like a personal failure. But the truth is, sometimes the kindest thing we can do is to step aside and create space for others who have the energy and enthusiasm to provide the level of care our patients need. If you find yourself in this position, don't beat yourself up. Nurse burnout is at an all-time high, and the current crisis in the NHS means even the most dedicated professionals are struggling. Take the time to really reflect on whether you can realistically re-commit to the role, or if it's time to explore other options that better align with your wellbeing and priorities. Leaving nursing is never an easy decision. But sometimes, it's the most responsible and compassionate choice we can make - both for ourselves and for the patients we serve. Let's destigmatise this conversation and support one another as we navigate these difficult waters. #workplacebullying #abuse #mentalhealthmatters #workplacementalhealth #employmentlaw #burnout #executivecoaching

Nursing 101‼️ It's been few months since I started working as a new grad Nurse and one thing I can say is..... please eat before you start your shift!! It might come as a tip, and it is definitely something we all know before, but many of us don't take it to heart🫠 For someone like me who could get cranky when hungry lol, I always do my best to eat before my shift😅 Eating before your shift is important for several reasons👇. 📌Firstly, it allows you to have positive energy towards your patients. Nursing can be physically and mentally demanding, requiring you to be on your feet for long periods of time and make quick, critical decisions. 📌A balanced meal can regulate your mood, reduce feelings of fatigue and irritability, prevent burnout and also give you the stamina and focus needed to handle these challenges with ease. 📌Furthermore, skipping meals can lead to low blood sugar levels, which can cause dizziness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. These symptoms can significantly impact your ability to provide safe and efficient care to your patients. By making the effort to eat before your shift, you are investing in yourself and setting yourself up for success in your role as a nurse🤌 Happy Nurses Week OUR NURSES, OUR FUTURE, THE ECONOMIC POWER OF CARE. #linkedin #linkedinnurses #linkedinfam

Nursing is often romanticized as a rewarding profession full of compassion and care. The harsh reality? Nurses are becoming task-focused instead of people-focused because of the constant stress and tension thrown on us from a broken system. We are losing our connection to our patients and drowning in stress. Many think the solution is more training, better certifications, more degrees, but truth be told, they don't ease our stress. Instead, they often add to the heavy burden that we already bear. ⁉What can we do to take care of OURSELVES in a system that applauds us for pushing our needs to the side, "taking one for the team" and hallow accolades of being a hero? Traditional stress management methods always seem to miss the mark. They tell us to exercise more, eat healthier, get more sleep. But they fail to understand our real needs and constraints. Imagine a strategy that isn't a quick-fix but a holistic solution. A personalized approach that starts in SMALL but MIGHTY ways. Designed to address the unique needs of today's nurse. ⭐Introducing the Productive Rest Pathway approach. This method doesn't just help you manage stress, it helps you identify and create personalized solutions to your distinct stressors. It puts you on a path to health, happiness, and a fulfilling life. It breaks through the noise of the wellness world and makes taking care of yourself as easy as 3 simple steps. 👉🏽If you are desperate to ditch the stress and find a path through the realities of modern nursing that can allow you to thrive, we need to talk. ☺I'm offering 90 minute sessions where you experience the Productive Rest Pathway action and walk away with a custom Care Plan to get started. Comment "Care Plan" to get the details. Or just send me a message to chat about what resonated with you. #nursing #nurseleaders #stressmanagement #overwhelm #healthcare #nursesonlinkedin #nursecoach #productiverest
