At any stage of a product, teams need to be extremely focused on being outcome-driven rather than output-driven. Outputs can be quantified easily—number of features shipped, number of releases, speed of development, etc. However, outcomes are the results achieved when we finally deliver those features and solve customer problems, which should ultimately be the goal of any team.

Industry 3.0 to 4.0 - Train has already left the station. We're in a rapidly evolving, disruptive, and even chaotic time. The transition from Industry 3.0 to Industry 4.0 is more than just a technological upgrade—it's a cultural shift. Industry 3.0 was about isolated systems & even isolated organizations, rigid structures, and high costs due to data siloes and legacy manufacturing. Adding more to the product may not always add more value. Sometimes you just need to subtract more often than you add. Lean and simplified is better. Every product needs to solve just that one problem. As a BA/PO/PM, our work life gets caught up in doing more enhancements, fixing more things, and obliging to more demands. Simplify and delete before innovation and automation.

One thing that strikes my mind after going through below insightful post -The launch of Walkman by Sony. It was about embracing a bold idea -removing the built in speakers and focusing entirety on personal listening through headphones. The decision teaches us a lesson in innovation: sometimes subtraction can lead to more impactful innovation than addition. By removing feature that were once considered essential.
