Session #1 on August 6, 2024 introduces you to the basic compliance requirements to help you get started in the right way. It covers the Preaward Accounting System Adequacy Assessment (SF1408) utilized by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), organization of your accounting General Ledger, the implementation of a total-time labor distribution process, the importance of consistency between your accounting and your pricing and the need for the identification and elimination of unallowable costs.
Session #2 on August 13, 2024 covers strategic costing and pricing of your products and services. It provides insights into the development of competitive direct labor hourly rates and the recovery of your indirect costs to most accurately establish the true costs of your products and services. The requirements of a compliant cost estimating process is also defined.
Session #3 on August 20, 2024 closes out with a discussion of needed policies and procedures to document your compliant accounting and pricing processes and the audits that should be anticipated along with proper audit protocol.
