Employer's Post: Wanted XYZ for the position of 'So-and-So' with experience of 'X' years. Please forward your resume to abc@xyz.com. Wannabe candidate's reply in the comment section of the post: Interested. Why do candidates post such a vague reply in the comment section when it's clearly mentioned by the employer to forward their resume to a particular email ID? Such is the world. And then we say, we are not getting the job! #JustSaying #corporatelife

It’s so good to know that there are still organization out there that are very open-minded and inclusive. I have had the misfortune of being an unfit candidate for an entry level position because I had no experience, despite having the requisite skills. How do you gain the experience when you haven’t « entered » the position yet. I believe organizations should give people opportunities to prove their worth. Shout out to Faryl Morse for hiring people and not just resumes.
We hire pregnant candidates. We hire candidates with employment gaps. We hire college dropout candidates. We hire under-qualified candidates. We hire inexperienced candidates. We hire candidates with imperfect resumes. We hire candidates with no experience for entry-level jobs. We hire PEOPLE and their attitude towards our cause, not just resumes.

Absolutely refreshing to see companies that prioritize potential, passion, and attitude over traditional credentials. Your perspective is just amazing Faryl Morse! This inclusive approach opens doors for so many deserving individuals who might otherwise be overlooked. A reminder that skills can be taught, but drive and heart are priceless. Let’s hire PEOPLE, not just resumes!

HIRING! Yes I have been trying to hire. I am looking for a suitable candidate for the post of the PRINCIPAL of ADHARSHILA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (www.adharshila.org.in). The school is situated in a remote village and serves one of the most underprivileged communities, free of cost. The post is still vacant after advertising on all sorts of platforms, both free and paid, and interviewing numerous candidates. The applicants are of found to be of 2 types. One, the urban educationist who have tons of experience as heads of educational institutions and second, social workers who have no experience of running a school. The latter we cannot hire while the former almost always decline. We can't 'afford' them despite the offer being handsome by the industry standards. So, definitely, we are looking at the wrong place. What mistakes are we making? There are millions of people looking for a job. How do we seek the right ones out? Any suggestions?

I don't do much posting on here, but I feel compelled to share. I was unfortunately part of lay offs in early January at 28 weeks #pregnant, and am now almost 35 weeks. After three rounds of interviews with a large corporation, I was just informed that I have not been selected for the position and I strongly feel it's because I disclosed that I was pregnant after the third interview. Every single interview went SO well, and I truly felt like I was going to get the job. I know I didn't have to disclose that information, but during every #interview it was eating me up inside so I felt the urge to share. After sending the email I cried because I knew it would affect if I got the job or not. To say that I feel defeated is an understatement. Pregnant women should not have to feel this way when searching or interviewing for a job. We are just as capable to work as anyone else. I am now back to square one, and I recently learned that once baby is born, if I don't actively look for roles or am "not available to work", I will not be eligible for unemployment benefits. I plan to take a couple weeks off and will resume my search once I start to get the hang of having a newborn. That being said, baby may be coming any week, or day, but I am still actively searching for a new role, and am eager to work, whether it be in #projectmanagement or #marketing. If you know of any openings, I would love to chat more! Or if you just have any #advise on what I should do, please share. #opentowork
