Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) - I bring together sales, marketing, partners, and solutions to create a successful business strategy that will accelerate my people and our customers into the future.
Kubernetes is more than an orchestration tool; it's a catalyst for cloud-native solutions, enabling businesses to build scalable, efficient, and modern applications. It supports containerisation(and now VM's), ensuring applications are manageable and adaptable to ever-changing business needs. Just think if we can actually treat VMs like containers, and manage them through K8s. Actually could be quite the game changer. Its all about speed, speeding up your app deployment, speeding up your recovery from failures , speeding up issue tracking and resolving outtages and scaling at speed. #Kubernetes #CloudNativeJourney

"Is this an app I can build using low-code?" "Sure you can... but have you thought about why?" Here are 5 questions I would ask determine whether an app should be built in App Engine, when I'm asked if a use case is a good fit. 1) Does this app involve multiple people and teams, or does it only help with the productivity of 1-3 people? The ServiceNow platform is built to automate enterprise wide workflows. If you are just replacing an excel spreadsheet to be used by a tiny group of users that no one else in the organization needs access to, rethink if there is a better alternative and do a business value assessment. 2) Does ServiceNow already provide such a capability as a prebuilt workflow? Yes, you can build anything, even what is offered out of the box. But sometimes this would not be the wise thing to do for so many reasons - time to value, feature set, maintainability, access controls etc. Figure out how much of a fit our prebuilt workflows provide, and make quantifiable decisions from there. 3) Will this app be used repeatedly and is not just for a one off event? I worked with a customer who wanted to build an app to manage their 10 year anniversary event. It would not be used after that event. Apps need to be used repeatedly to justify value. 4) Who will maintain this application after it has been built? Building and deploying is just step 1, do you have the right resources within the team to continue supporting the operations of the custom app after it goes live? Can you pass some aspects of application ownership to the end users? 5) How much of this app would require the build of custom widgets or components v.s. the ability to use what we have in Portal or Next Experience? If you are thinking of building an app that is heavy on custom components and external libraries such as 3D maps or Video Streaming, while doable, it poses a high level of difficulty. Have a look at the Next Experience Components (https://lnkd.in/gmU9e6GZ) to see if what is available can be used instead.
