But as time went on, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱—people started paying attention. With each post, I wasn’t just putting my thoughts out there; I was building something more substantial. My audience started to see me as someone who was 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 invested in sharing valuable insights. They recognized the effort and, in turn, began to see me as someone they could trust. The more I shared, the more I realized that 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 is about more than just visibility. It’s about showing your community that you’re here to contribute, and that you’re committed to 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲. And when you consistently share your expertise, people begin to see you as an expert. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲. Conversations that used to take hours to clarify now take minutes, because my content has already laid the groundwork. “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝘇𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁?” Anuroop Kothamasu called me and asked this on Monday morning. Now, this wasn’t the first time Anuroop had pitched the idea of attending an expo. He had suggested it before, mostly to go as visitors and learn the ropes. He even mentioned setting up our own stall at times, but honestly, I never felt like we were ready to proudly showcase what we were building. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲? 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲. I knew we were ready. We had to step out and show the world what Ozibook and Ozigen were all about. We had less than a week to prepare, and it was a race against time. Our teams worked around the clock—Rashi Jain, Om Jena, Urvi Khanwalkar, Niranjan M Theroth, Roshan Darish and a few more. Everyone pushed their limits to get the creatives out, working urgently but 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻. Brigade Prints helped us bring our vision to life with all the printing, and everything slowly started coming together. If you had told me a year ago that we’d be setting up our own stall at an expo, I wouldn’t have believed it. But here we are, thanks to the efforts of so many dedicated people. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲—𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁? But let me tell you, in the world of entrepreneurship, these three things are the real MVPs. When I started 𝗢𝘇𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, I was full of energy, ideas, and let’s be honest, a good dose of naivety. I thought, “How hard can it be?” Well, let’s just say the first steps felt like trying to 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸—you know the music is playing, but you keep tripping over your own feet. It was faith that pushed me to take that first step, moving beyond the comfort of staying on the couch. My friends had faith in my vision (or maybe they were just being polite), my parents believed in my 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 to do something great, and my team—bless them—showed faith in my crazy ideas.   And let’s not forget the clients who signed on, trusting that I knew what I was doing (sometimes more than I did). 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻. Constantly trying to convince yourself that working 16 hours a day is normal while the rest of the world enjoys Netflix and chill. But hey, someone’s got to do it, right? And every small win felt like a victory lap, keeping that spark alive. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? Waiting for things to click into place, for clients to call back, for that one big breakthrough—it’s like watching paint dry but with higher stakes. But as they say, good things come to those who wait… hustle, and believe, and keep showing up, even when it’s the last thing you want to do. So, here is to the 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴, the persistence that drives us forward, and the patience that makes it all worthwhile. It was my business, my vision, and I felt the need to have my hand in everything. I was the one making every major decision—every project, every detail, it all came through me. It felt like the right way to build a business, to have control over every aspect. But as the business grew, so did the demands on my time. I found myself stretched thin, with less time to review every task, every project, every detail. That’s when it hit me—I couldn’t keep doing this alone. I needed leaders, not just team members. I needed people who could plan strategies, delegate tasks, and execute projects from start to finish. Leaders who could handle clients, survive the challenges, and make decisions on their own. So, I shifted my focus. Instead of doing it all myself, I started investing my time in developing my leaders. I began empowering them to take ownership, to lead their own teams with confidence and competence. It wasn’t easy to let go, but it was necessary. And the results have been incredible. Watching them step up, take charge, and drive the business forward has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. Are you truly marketing your business, or just posting content? One thing I have learned is that simply sharing informative content isn’t enough if you are running a business. You have to be clear about what you are offering. Whether it’s a service or a product, you need to 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 about it. If you are into coaching and have an upcoming program, make sure you’re promoting it. The key is to market yourself consistently, so your audience knows you are serious about your business.   If you want to market yourself then:-   - You can post 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 to showcase your service’s impact.   - Post at least three times a week highlighting your 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲    - Link your post to your 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. This way, you are not just teaching—you’re showing your audience exactly how you can solve their problems. Ever thought you nailed something, only to find out you missed the mark completely? That was me with my first few posts for Ozibook, starting on July 7, 2021. I started my journey into branding by developing the Instagram page for Ozibook. Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure what to post, so I just shared whatever I thought made sense at the time. I remember eagerly sharing my initial content, convinced I was making things crystal clear. It felt right, but something was missing. So, I did what I always do—I asked for feedback. I shared my posts with the people around me, eager to hear what they understood from them. Now, imagine my surprise when my friends, after going through it, said, "𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘩, 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘖𝘻𝘪𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰?" Ouch!! It was a classic case of thinking I had it all figured out when, in reality, I was just getting started. But here’s the thing—starting is the most important step. You don’t need everything to be perfect from day one. What matters is being open to feedback and using it to sharpen your message. Looking back, it’s almost funny how confident I was. But that’s the journey, right? You start with a rough idea, you learn, you tweak, and you keep going. And honestly, those early stumbles are what make the successes feel even better. So, if you are putting yourself out there and it’s not hitting the way you expected, don’t worry. Take a breath, listen, adjust, and move forward. Looking back, those early posts were rough, but they were the first steps in a much bigger journey. I learned that branding is all about clarity, and sometimes you have to stumble a bit before you find your stride. Who else has been there?
