#Chiropractic substantially reduces costs for spine-related musculoskeletal pain. In their new systematic review, Farabaugh et al. report the current cost of spine-related pain is estimated at $134.5 billion. The authors report, "...diagnostic imaging, opioid utilization, surgery, hospitalizations, injection procedures, specialist visits and emergency department visits were all reduced where chiropractors were involved early in the case."
