Let me tell you how the Altima started, one year it was the #1 selling car. Before I stated at Nissan, I bought a used Hertz Taurus instead of a new Nissan Stanza similar price. I When asked why by co-worker Julie, I felt attacked but said I bought it before I was working here and the Ford had more style and not as boring as the Stanza. 4 months layer she asked me to come to the back of the plant, I was concerned but she open a vault and said this was replacing the Stanza, first year it sold 145k vs. the Stanza only sold 45k. and was a hit for many years
