Why do you care about my initiative? 🚀🚀🚀 Interviewers ask for examples of a time you showed initiative when they want to assess your ability to be proactive, think critically, and demonstrate leadership qualities. 🧐 Basically, they’re looking to hire someone who can identify and handle problems on their own. ⭐️ No one wants to be the boss who stands over shoulders telling team members how to do every step of every process. That’s why they look for candidates that work independently and inspire others to do the same. 👨💼👩💼 When answering this question, try to think of a time you took on a task without being asked. What was the task, how did you solve it, and how did this help the company or contribute positively to the team? A great answer shows not only your initiative, but your ability to adapt and be flexible in various situations. 🤸 Remember behavioral questions are asked because they assume your past behavior will indicate your future performance, so try to pick a relevant example that could also apply in the future role. Be specific about the context of the situation, the exact action you took, and most importantly, the result of your actions. 📈💯 Can’t think of an example?
