Midlands-based charity Adoption Focus is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary as a Voluntary Adoption Agency (VAA). Adoption Focus was established in June 2009, and since then has grown to be one of the largest VAAs in the country and has placed more than 700 children with 500 new families. Many of these families joined Adoption Focus team members and volunteers for an anniversary celebration party featuring music, face painting, a buffet, a bouncy castle, garden games, a storyteller, arts and crafts, and dance activities. People are urged to nominate a charity working with children and young people for the upcoming Benefact Group’s Movement for Good charity draw. DEADLINE FRIDAY JUNE 21ST Solihull Chamber charities who are applying for the draw are: Adoption Focus (under the Family Society umbrella) & St Basils. The Movement for Good is Benefact Group’s annual programme of giving where anyone can get involved in. It is backed by a diverse family of specialist financial services businesses. They will be donating over £1 million to charities and good causes nominated by holding several special draws throughout the year. The special draws will award £5000 to 10 charities working in various areas including Children and Young People.
