What's going on in this video? Just another day on the job for our Blast Effects Engineers! 🤷♀️ This behind-the-scenes look with Darren Malik, General Manager of Testing & Principal Blast Effects Engineer, features a practice run for high explosives testing we performed for Intertek at our Box Canyon Test Facility in 2019, utilizing 550lbs of ANFO. 💥 The purpose? To test the effects of similar explosions on rats 🐀 - and ultimately people. 🙋🏽♂️ Through unique testing capabilities with 💥 vapor cloud explosions 💥 high explosives 💥 & custom hazard evaluation tests our team is able to provide crucial and potentially life-saving information to clients, universities, peers in industry, governmental entities, and many others. Equally as impressive - rather than hiring technicians who cannot provide in-depth insights into the data - our own experts & engineers conduct the tests & analyze the data to provide our clients with clear and actionable results. Are you looking to hire senior experts in the building enclosure or structural rehabilitation industry? If so, let's connect as I network with the most talented professionals within forensic engineering, building enclosure diagnostics, and structural restoration. Whether or not your hiring need is immediate, I am sure I'll be able to help in some way. But don't take it from me, take a look at this testimonial from a firm owner in Charleston who was in need of a Licensed Forensic Engineer to help manage his workload. This process took 2 weeks and 3 interview stages but the best part is that the candidate relocated from out of state for the job so he likely never would've came in contact if he hadn't asked for my assistance with the role. Do you want access to candidate pools outside your immediate jurisdiction? Could you benefit from a more streamlined interviewing process? Would you like to be notified when relevant talent becomes available? My clients don't pay a single cent until I have delivered exactly what has been asked and I only get paid once a suitable candidate has started a new job. This means you get a completely free service until you find your ideal candidate. What is there to lose? Wondering who you'll be teaming up with if you decide to apply for one of the open positions in our Engineering department? Let us introduce you to Tor Fjelltveit, one of your future colleagues 🙋🏻♂️Tor is a Senior Field Expert with us and has been part of our team since 2013. He's not planning on leaving anytime soon. "Can you believe it's been over ten years? I hadn't really stopped to think about it. I'm already looking forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary!" he enthusiastically states. Tor is one of the many remarkable individuals you'll encounter here. Our Engineering department is a mixture of good people! "We're a diverse crew that varies in age and background, which is a huge plus. It brings a wealth of perspectives to our work. In this job, the solutions are often a product of discussion - and having such a wide range of viewpoints is a real asset." "Plus, there's a unique energy here. Everyone is committed to creating things that are not only high-quality but also efficient, sparking creativity at every turn." One of Tor's most challenging tasks involved working on a project for a client needing an oil rig moved to South Africa, in an area known for its strong currents. It was a daunting task that had stumped others before us. But guess what? Our Engineering team managed to pull it off 💪 "The success was all down to our close collaboration with the client and within our team," Tor explains. This sense of community and professional environment is one of the main reasons he's stayed with us for so long. "Even though we're all working towards the same goals, we approach problems from different angles. Working closely within the company creates a work environment where you will find the support and expertise suited for the task. Together, we will design systems which both are practical and safe, not only useable in theory." Interested in a work environment where you're closely involved with production?
