From a WLKY article: As part of the investment, the state legislature designated funding for the program, an initiative that aims to breathe new life into the Central Business District through "adaptive reuse of vacant office buildings into residential, hospitality, or a mix of uses." “The goal of this program is to help developers and property owners take existing buildings and make the renovations necessary to turn what was once an office building into something else, something that helps us continue to build a thriving downtown,” said Greenberg. RGP are very pleased to see the development at Clarendon Road in the London Borough of Haringey receive approval at recent planning committee. The scheme will deliver 220+ Co-Living units along with dedicated co-working space. The location and shape of the site were key constraints which required both creative and innovative solutions on key transport issues including cycle parking and servicing provision. Through robust evidence-based discussions with the authorities and forward-thinking design solutions, RGP were able to help create a design which was both acceptable to Officers at Haringey and TfL and which will meet the needs of the co-living demographic.
