Here’s HEAPY’s CEO, Mark Brumfield, explaining why it’s important to use global offshore teams to boost productivity. In the current US-AE market, talent shortage is a major concern for almost all firms. By using labour arbitrage methods, Heapy is able to mitigate the labour market volatility. If you would like to learn more about how such an engagement can help your AE firm, you can get in touch with me or Nikhil Anil Sivadas.
Watch Mark Brumfield, CEO, HEAPY Engineering, along with Dave Burstein on a webinar hosted by PSMJ Resources, as he shares how setting up an offshore team with Enventure has been a game-changer for their growth and success! Manager and lead with over 15 years of commercial experience. Capable of leading projects from start (writing concepts, choosing technology, creating boilerplate and style guides) to finish (active development).
How to conduct 1:1s Talking to people we work with is the basis of management. Yet often it’s something we fail to do properly. Today I am tackling an issue that I've seen too many times. One-on-one meetings shouldn't be about project updates or excessive criticism. They should be about what's on your teammate's mind. Trying to be the dumbest person in the room. #ai #digitaltransformation #machinelearning #strategy #datascience
The Golden Gate Bridge shouldn't exist - it was labeled impossible to build by most engineers. Many believed it was too ambitious due to the strong tides, deep water, and frequent fog. Most engineers thought it couldn't be done. Proposals and plans piled up, each more complex than the last, failing to address the core challenges directly. ✳ Then comes Joseph Strauss - Chief Engineer - he diagnosed the real challenge: 💡 A bridge that was structurally sound, affordable, and buildable under hard environmental conditions. He implemented a guiding policy to innovate and simplify the process. His coherent strategic actions included: - Using a suspension design to withstand the strong winds and deep waters. - Employing innovative construction techniques to speed up the process. - Focusing on safety protocols to protect workers, a novel concept at the time. Strauss's strategy to focus on simplicity and safety allowed the project to progress. Strauss provided solvable proximate objectives that allowed engineers to focus on specific parts of the problem, not being overwhelmed by the whole. 🔑 Effective strategy often requires identifying the central challenge and resisting the temptation to address every issue simultaneously. Leaders can steer their organizations toward success by diagnosing the core problem, creating a guiding policy, and taking coherent actions. #effectivestrategy #stepbystep #proximateobjectives #leadership #strategy

A great breakdown of what “engineering excellence” means from Abi Noda. Consistent, predictable, and sustainable business impact are three necessary ingredients for success, yet leaders too often fail to create actionable outcomes. I’d emphasise establishing rules such as “less than X% work needs to be redone” and “all features have alerting, monitoring, and documentation” — doing good work from the get-go and picking up problems early on are two ways to streamline your processes. #business #leadership #growth
