Question for the community?! Where else in the land of mobility can you spend the estimated value of this lot and receive this much substance and quality and history embedded in an automobile? Sure it requires recommissioning, but what an amazing canvas to start with!! Surely to be a labour of love and attention to detail. LOT 103 British Classics Online <> RM Sotheby's Sotheby's Motorsport 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Riviera Town Car by J.S. Inskip €50,000 - €80,000 EUR | Offered Without Reserve Current: €21,000 Closing: 3 hr 43 min Chassis No. S133PR Engine No. 30330 Documents Bill of Sale Only The “New Phantom” was a direct successor to Rolls-Royce’s legendary Silver Ghost in the 40/50hp series, and though the benchmark set by the Ghost was high, the New Phantom surpassed it in almost every regard. Eventually known as the Phantom I, the most significant improvement over the Ghost was the introduction of a smooth and powerful six-cylinder 7,668 cubic-centimetre engine utilising overhead-valve technology. By 1921 interest from the burgeoning North American market had led to a three-year backlog in orders, sufficient for the firm to open a new manufacturing facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Initially producing Silver Ghosts, the factory moved to Phantom I production in 1926. Most examples were bodied by American coachbuilders such as Brewster & Co, which was acquired by Rolls-Royce of America in 1926. This Phantom I left the Springfield works on 24 October 1931 wearing a St. Alban Town Car body by Brewster. The first owner was Mrs. Mary Ruth Bogart Dunn, the daughter of a coal baron who lived in the prestigious San Remo apartment building in New York City—delivered two weeks after her wedding, this Phantom I may have been a wedding gift or dowry. At the time, it was relatively common for cars to be rebodied to keep pace with fashion, and in 1937 the decision was taken to have the car transformed into a desirable Riviera Town Car—a style devised by Brewster and applied to just 10 Phantom I chassis. However, following the company’s liquidation in 1937, J.S. Inskip took up the lease at the former firm’s Long Island City coachworks, and it was his eponymous concern that bodied this exceptionally rare Riviera Town Car, arguably in a less dramatic style than its older Brewster cousins. Along with typical Inskip features such as the beautifully sculpted door handles, the car was also fitted with basketwork on the passenger compartment to complete its luxurious appearance. This extremely rare Riviera Town Car will require recommissioning after an unknown number of years on static display. An important Rolls-Royce, it is worthy of an eventual return to a concours lawn or a place in any major collection. #classic #classics #classiccars #collectorcars #carcollectors #historic #vintage #performance #racing #rallying #driving #car #cars #automotiveindustry #auto #autos #autoindustry #auction #forsale #sold #automotive #investment #privatesale

On the back of Monterey Car Week. The 1983 Lamborghini Countach… one of the bad boy cars of that era, could do 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Max (7-8 seater SUV)… soccer parent car of this generation, can do 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Like car performance, investing has become more efficient, more cost effective, and more streamlined over the past decades. Brand partnership • Strategic Advisor and Brand DNA Specialist helping CEOs and leadership teams build thriving brand-centred businesses
WHAT MAKES A BRAND ICONIC? I chanced across this E-Type Jaguar at our local shopping mall this weekend. Launched in 1961 it was the first sports car on the road to do 150 mph. It has since achieved iconic brand status, revitalising the fortunes of the Jaguar marque and defining an era. Like many iconic brands, it can still polarise. It is the ultimate design aesthetic, unique and instantly recognizable. But my wife hates it (and I thought she had taste!) What made the E-Type the amazing success it was - and still is? Apart from the breathtaking looks (as the story goes Enzo Ferrari called it the most beautiful car in the world), it had substance to match its style. Jaguar advanced disc brake and suspension technology to try to keep up with its speed. And they made it affordable relative to competitors (like half the price). Above all, iconic brands stand the test of time. They have a cadre of advocates that follow them with the zeal of missionaries. They grow with their audience and they stay relevant over time (anyone notice the car Prince Harry drove off in for his honeymoon?...a bespoke electric E-Type). I have always dreamed of owning an E-Type but the practicalities of life, mortgages, and sensible (boring) vehicle choices have kept me and my dream apart...for now anyway... all I need is another 1,000 or so more people to sign up for my online program, pretty please! ---|--- I am Peter Wilken 🐬 I coach and consult #brandstrategy to #businessowners, #entrepreneurs and aspiring #brandprofessionals to build strong businesses through their brand.

As a car enthusiast, I've always loved collectible cars, particularly classic 1960's muscle cars -- Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, and GTOs. are my favorites. Not only do I enjoy driving them and tinkering with them, but I also appreciate the nostalgia and comradery that arises when inserting a classic car into conversations. And let's not forget that classic cars can sometimes be a great investment, which is why I like to keep my finger on the pulse of the collectible car industry. According to Hagerty, the collectible car industry is still going strong, with vintage models performing exceptionally well. However, certain recent trends, like the surge in modern supercars, are showing signs of weakening. Also, the era of classic cars as easy money generators is coming to an end, with quick flips becoming increasingly risky. There's also a shift in buying and selling behavior, with dealers now more inclined to buy at live auctions and sell online. These trends seem to parallel what we see right now in most other industries, with lots of hesitation and uncertainty ahead. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the upcoming driving season and the chance to hit the road in my classic.... #classiccars #supercars

Did you know that you can actually get a better price for your car by selling it at an auction? It may seem counterintuitive, but there are actually a few reasons why this is the case. 1. Auctions are a competitive environment where multiple buyers are bidding against each other for the same item. This creates a sense of urgency and can drive up the price of your car. In a private sale, you are limited to negotiating with just one buyer, which may not result in the best price for your vehicle. 2. Auctions attract a diverse group of buyers, including dealerships, collectors, and individual buyers. This means that your car has a higher chance of reaching its full market value, rather than being undervalued by a single buyer. 3. Auctions often have a large audience, both in-person and online, which can result in more bids and ultimately a higher selling price for your car. This wider reach exposes your vehicle to a larger pool of potential buyers who may be willing to pay more for your car. If you're looking to get the best price for your car, consider selling it at Inawe Autobid. The competitive environment, diverse buyer pool, and wider reach can all work in your favor and result in a better price for your vehicle. Happy selling! #CarSellingTips #AuctionAdvantages #GetTheBestPrice #vehicle #vehicles #vehiclegram #motorvehicle #luxuryvehicle #luxuryvehicles #carsofinstagram #carswithoutlimits #auction #auctions #auctioneer

Luxury Mind Designer | Make Your Life More Valuable | What If You Change Your Thinking To Impact Your Wealth, Health and Happiness? Freedom To Dare.
Understanding clients and your market in the luxury sector is vital to both survive and thrive. Here are four key takeaways for Aston Martin.
Watching a billionaire fashion mogul turn around a storied British sports-car maker has been thrilling to watch. I caught up with Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd executive chair Lawrence Stroll, who revealed four big insights into the company’s overhaul: 1 — After years of burning cash and piling up losses, Aston expects to be cash-flow positive starting in the third quarter “and forever after that.” 2 - Aston customers are spending a fortune personalizing their cars, lifting the avg sale price by 35%, to $316,000. Custom paint colors, special leathers and interior fabrics and stitching are popular — one customer outfitted his Aston interior with fur! 3 - Aston customers are getting younger, thanks to its Aston Martin F1 Team and the growing popularity of the sport in the U.S. The average age of the Aston customer has dropped from 55 to 42 since Stroll took the wheel in 2020. 4 — Aston Martin customers don’t want an EV, at least not yet. Stroll is pushing back an all-electric Aston from 2025 to 2026. “The high performance customer is telling us they’re not ready for the electric vehicle, at least not from us.” You can read more of my interview with Stroll on cnbc.com #cars #luxurycars #luxury #f1 #wealth

This is the most expensive car in the world, with a price tag of $4.8 million and only two of these exist on the planet. But why? Why does this car cost more than most of us would earn in a lifetime? Here’s why: 👉🏻 First off, the Trevita isn’t just a car. It’s a masterpiece. 👉🏻 It’s coated with diamond-woven carbon fibre. 👉🏻 A technology so advanced, that only two of these cars were ever made. ✔️ A twin-supercharged 4.8-liter V8 engine. 1,018 horsepower. 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. ✔️ It’s faster than a jet on takeoff. But it’s not just about speed. 🫴🏻 This car is light as a feather yet strong as steel, thanks to Koenigsegg’s unique carbon fibre. 🫴🏻 And under the sun, it sparkles like a diamond, literally. Now, here’s where it gets crazy. Only two Trevitas exist. Owning one isn’t just buying a car—it’s joining a club so exclusive that even celebrities like Floyd Mayweather had to flaunt their Trevita as the ultimate status symbol. The Trevita isn’t just about money or speed. It’s about pushing boundaries. It’s about creating something so extraordinary, that it leaves a mark on history. Trevita isn’t just a car—it’s a piece of art on wheels, and it’s here to remind us all that some things are worth every penny. And if that doesn’t grab your attention, nothing will. #car #carcare #automobiles #carzspa
