Oh, hey. It’s me! Some behind the scenes trivia: They were looking for about 45 seconds of video and I wasn’t sure exactly what they’d want. I actually recorded a handful of clips riffing on some of the things that are most important to me: - The DNE program’s world-class faculty and support team. - The dual focus in which Nursing Professional Development is an equal partner with academic nursing education in a curriculum that brings those worlds together so we learn from each other. It’s a really powerful approach. - A class cohort of the most incredible, accomplished, knowledgeable, and supportive classmates any student could ask for. - The fact that what I am learning, from curriculum design to grant writing to test item analysis - has been immediately practical and useful in my own career. - Class assignments and work are personalized and meaningful: I’m working on things I care about to do work that is helping me advance my goals. - A focus on TRUE wellness for us, the program’s students, and for the organizations and students we serve in our careers. - The program is built on a foundation of EBP from the person who literally wrote the book. - It is ALL. ABOUT. NURSING. EDUCATION. It is not a practice or research doctorate with some education classes grafted in, nor is it a general education doctorate that doesn’t speak to the demands of nursing education. This program meets a unique need in an exceptionally adept way. I meant what I said: whether you’re educating nurses in academia or educating them in practice, if your heart and passion is *nursing education* and/or NPD, this is where you need to be. #NursingProfessionalDevelopment #TheOhioStateUniversity #DoctorofNursingEducation #NursingEducation #Facts
