Rob Bolton’s Post

This is a great study on the impact of AI in Music. It's European-based with a sample of about 15,000 artists, songwriters and others in the music industry. Some eye-opening takeaways: 35% of creators are already using AI in their work. And if they are under 35, that jumps to 51%. Not surprisingly, there is a healthy amount of skepticism - 71% are afraid AI might affect their ability to earn a living. The bold claim is that AI applications in music could be a $3 billion market by 2028. Is this realistic? Worrying, or a great opportunity - perhaps both? Curious to hear the concerns from my network here. https://lnkd.in/entQJgmn

As an example: Google's MusicFX AI tool has only been going for a couple months (officially anyway, it was in their Test Kitchen a year ago), and there have been 10 million tracks created so far. https://blog.google/technology/ai/google-labs-imagefx-textfx-generative-ai/
