It's that time of year again! March Madness is here and I'm excited to share some fun facts. Did you know that this is the 85th NCAA tournament dating back to 1939? If you had invested $100 in the S&P 500 (with dividends reinvested) back then, it would be worth over $731,000 today. That's like investing $2,232.56 today when considering inflation. Speaking of investments, I chose Houston as my tournament winner. Did you know that Houston has a 61.5% all-time win percentage? That's impressive, but did you know that the S&P 500 has a 74% win percentage over the past 95 years when considering both appreciation and dividends? Good luck to everyone with their brackets!
