🚨NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO🚨 Throw Variations in Long Toss + Pulldowns Rhythmic Movements Influence Optimal Timing WATCH THE FULL VIDEO HERE https://lnkd.in/enYPRg-y ✅ More Context on Throw Variations 👇 I'm sure you have seen a lot of my content with titles "Throw Variations" so this could provide some insights to "WHY" i believe Throw Variations are an extremely important tool to implement during our Catch Plays, Long Toss, Pulldowns, and even Mound Work/Bullpens. The best way I’ve found to not only simplify the development process for younger athletes but to also engrain these movements more efficiently over time is by way of Task Orientation Progressions. Task Orientation Progressions is just a fancier way of saying go field ground balls or go throw from the outfield in an attempt to throw the baserunner out at home plate or even just throwing the ball as far as you possibly can.. Doesn’t have to be complex to be useful. I have a lot of bias here due to my personal journey in this game being someone that grew up always throwing in a variety of ways while succeeding when it came time to pitch. Once I turned PRO at 18 all that deviation and variability went away as I became.. wait for it.. the dreaded phrase.. a “PO” ‘Pitcher Only’ Not the move… trust me.. Stick to your roots.. be an athlete.. throw before pitch 💯DEVIATION + VARIABILITY Continue to show your brain the athleticism that is required when we perform the task of throwing and that’s how you will feel (athletic) anytime you perform a throw. ❓Questions on the Subject? https://lnkd.in/gFVQphv #baseball #throwing #pitchingideas
