Does it make sense to celebrate World Recycling Day today? ♻️🌍   Not for everybody. If recycling and the circular economy associated with it is just a marketing appeal for products and services, then there is probably nothing to be proud about. But if we're serious about recycling, it's certainly worth celebrating. So we do it at RETEX. The vast majority of our products are made from recycled materials. 👉 At RETEX, thanks to the fundamental emphasis on recycling, it is possible to slow down and sometimes even completely stop 🛑 a system that generates a large amount of waste 🚮 and return it to production. ♻️ According to a The Recycling Partnership’s (TRP) annual State of Recycling Report, only 21% of residential recyclables are being recycled and every material type is under-recycled. For plastics, that equates to three out of four milk jugs not being recycled and seven out of ten PET bottles lost to trash in homes. Today is #GlobalRecyclingDay In this post: my 1 minute opinion on #recycling Recycling is an important temporary solution today. This proces does not solve the cause of #plasticwaste, but at least it extends the lifespan of plastic and prevents it from being incinerated (synonym: burned). I believe that #reusing products made of plastic is a better choice economically and ecologically. It is necessary to row with the oars we have, so thank you to all recycling partners who are #savingplastic from landfills. #Collaborating with all stakeholders making and using a product will be the next way of doing business.
