Finished up the regular season with a loss to Gardiner & Theobald Inc. last night. Joseph Stoutland made several great plays in the outfield including a double play on s catch and throw to Emily Green at second base. Frank Vertuccio hit a blast for a ground rule double in that last inning, but it was too little, too late. Chris Barry, PE pitched a solid game. On a completely unrelated note, prior to the game, we had a strategic planning meeting and one of the key takeaways was that we wanted to improve relations with G&T.

As a life-long resident of Michigan, I have to say there is something to Dan Campbell. It cannot be ignored, believe me, I tried. I am a Tampa Bay Bucs fan myself. However, Dan has a massive amount of passion for turning what was truly a joke of a team (I am being brutally honest) into something that we (as Michigan Residents) can truly be proud of! The sheer grit, passion, and intensity that he and Brad Holmes have is undeniable. Their dedication to this team is without question remarkable. Putting a team together takes a lot of thought, conversation, and the ability to look ahead. How might this individual be right for the team? Does this individual fit our culture? Will they bring positivity to the team? How will things look after the first year, or even two? These are all important and extremely relevant to our professional lives - even outside of sports. Kudos to Dan and Brad for what they have done. Regardless of if you are a Lions fan or not, their passion, and unwavering commitment to improve is contagious! #passion #professionalgrowth #professionaldevelopment #teambuilding #successjourney #mindsetmatters #teamdevelopment

Detroit Pistons fans, have you been keeping up with Jaden Ivey's performance this week? On Wednesday, he started against the Los Angeles Lakers, playing 19 minutes. The following day, he came off the bench against the New York Knicks, playing 13 minutes. In a recent vlog, I discussed how the Pistons have accumulated talent rather than built a complementary team, leading to redundancy in their roster. While Alec Burks may be a better fit next to Cade Cunningham, the player they're building around, I believe Jaden Ivey should start. Check out the link to my vlog where I discuss the Pistons, player development, the importance of the starting lineup, asset depreciation, and the trajectory of OJ Mayo. Let's keep the conversation going!

You might ask yourself is an ad starring two of the greatest actors and the greatest quarterback of all time...from the greatest state in the nation actually worth it? The math might just say yes. Figure a spot cost of around $25,000,000, which gives room above the cost of ol' Benny the last go around, along with the time itself, getting his friends involved, etc. Take into account the average margin for Dunkin'...then look at the sales for hoops of dough fried in fat. It will only take about 11 days of the average donut sale volume to recoup the costs. To put it another way, they need to increase donut sales by about 3% this year. All that assumes that those sales don't come with any other purchases...so this one looks like a win. Those are apples (err...donuts) I can get behind. #dunkin #dunkindonuts #advertising #superbowl
