I am retired. But this made think about how I talked with my patients when I was working. Also, I will be more aware about how I communicate in general.

11moThank you for sharing this! I especially like what she says about finding out the reason why a patient might not be following a treatment plan. We are trained to be "fixers" and want to explain why our plan is the best way. But by finding out our patient's "why," we can be so much more effective.
