How thrilling was it to ride roller coasters when we were young? I spent a lot of time in those hot turnstile lines at Kings Island, Cedar Point Amusement Park, and Six Flags Great America anticipating those twists, turns and speed, not sure what it would entail exactly, but I'd have my hands up and ready for the tall climb and gravity-pulling stomach drop to the bottom! Interest rates are at 23-year highs, but the Federal Reserve has chosen not to change rates since July 2023, despite several of my CFP, CFA, and Investment Broker friends very public predictions over the last several months. We aren't on rails here for just a short bumpy 3 1/2 minute ride, and I believe Interest Rates may yet still increase as a result of the strength of our economy. So while this ride can be jarring and even a bit scary, it can be largely managed with #realistic financial projections and proven strategies. While I attached an article to help, I recommend you talk to a commercial banker like me as you plan acquisitions, capex, and recaps / distributions so that we can help you get the best treatment and rates possible for what your business and family needs.
