What are you looking at? During IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show we went Live every morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. Here we've got our camera crew, along with myself and Meaghan. This is when we stopped by Muratec America, Inc. booth to chat with Ken Brewer, and he was telling us about the two cells in the picture. Did you know, both of these CNC machines were running the same part? The also had the EXACT same program, every speed, every feed, identically matched. The cell on the right, used their standard gantry loading system (they have a much faster option as well) and the cell on the left was using a robot, to load and unload. Both automated, both, making significantly different numbers. In one day, the left cell made 636 parts, and the right? The right made a whopping 864!!! The right automation solution, makes a difference. I love that I got to cover this with the team at MTDCNC - North America, our live broadcast went out to 500,000 people across 5 social media platforms. We also went back and did a deep dive on this cell with Ken later, that video has yet to be released. Some of the PES Scanning team are up in the North East this week, undertaking some large-scale scanning of a client's factory. I saw this on display over at Dynamic Machine’s open house yesterday!! A LYNX 2100LSY turning center with an integrated robot, cleaning station AND a secondary deburring station. This is like the whole package😂. Pretty dang cool! I always love being able to go out and see the technology and applications in person. Probably one of best thing happened in the last 30 years in injection moulding melt flow under understanding. it was like a treatment for Cancer. Every moulder face this problem, and every one had their own local medicine, nothing really worked well, but helped to control the "cancer" a little bit, with quite many side effects. But Beaumont guys really made it and without side effects.. A big salute to Beaumont team, and to the "original brain" behind it.... Your name will never be forgotten from the history of injection moulding. Never... I keep suggesting all my customers about this system. some go for it quickly, some have reservations due to the cost of adapting it. but those who have used it, they will continue to do with Beaumont in every mould they make new, when the cavitation is more than 4 and uses a cold runner. But may be after couple of years, when everyone get in to Hot runner system, Beaumont may not be relavent anymore.. So watch out guys.... for "who moved my cheese" ...condition... Why not Beamont and team starts to look in to Hot runner systems with precise flow. I think it is lagging in current Hot runner systems supplys. Recently I tried to test Yudo and Synventive Hot runner systems with 8 and 16 drops, but they are not having same melt flow. So there is a big feild out there to play.....
