For starters, Mbarara is located in Western Uganda, Uganda, East Africa, Africa. The HIV surge is attributed to various factors that, sometimes are not mentioned anywhere in the news and blogs. The fact that Uganda chose to discriminate among citizens; where others do not deserve to be recognised as humans or be persecuted for being who they are, it is still hard to achieve several goals including reduced HIV spread among communities. Mbarara is a busy city and a business centre that accommodates most individuals for trade, education, and other important businesses. This most makes it a hotspot for a variety of different persons and their lifestyle. The laws that target key populations makes it hard for them to openly come out to seek HIV services. Uganda must rethink the draconian laws that target gender identifying citizens and other key populations including LGBTIAQ persons and commercial sex workers. https://lnkd.in/dfJajVkn
