We've just received an update from Openreach regarding BT Group’s revised timetable for the PSTN switch-off. The new deadline for the switch-off has been extended from December 2025 to 31 January 2027. This extension means you now have more time to transition to cloud-based telecoms. While the goalposts have shifted, it’s essential to remember that the withdrawal of BT and Openreach’s old copper-based analogue line services (PSTN phones and WLR) will still happen. Why the delay? The additional time will help broadband ISPs, telecare providers and consumers adapt to the new system. We encourage our customers to begin planning their transition now to ensure a seamless switch. Need support? Give Xi Comms a call - we’d love to help! #BTSwitchOff #Openreach #PSTNSwitchOff #HarrogateBusiness #XiComms
