𝐀 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 It's essential to share experiences and insights from our workdays, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Recently, I had a firsthand experience that highlighted the importance of choosing 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓. 👫 In a discussion with a colleague about a workplace incident, I was taken aback when I discovered that my suggestions and ideas, initially shared for improvement purpose, were regrettably used without due credit. It left me with a bitter taste, questioning the integrity of the collaborative process. 🦅 This encounter taught me a valuable lesson: the significance of choosing dialogue companions wisely. Engaging with individuals possessing intelligence, a positive mindset, and, most importantly, genuine interest in your well-being is crucial. These attributes ensure that the exchange is constructive and promotes a healthy work environment. 🎯 During our conversation, my colleague shared a piece of advice that resonated with me deeply: "𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆'𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒅." In other words, its an urge to be mindful of where we invest our valuable ideas and contributions. 💭 ✝ This experience served as a reminder to safeguard our creativity and insights. While collaboration is essential, it is equally crucial to be discerning about with whom we share our ideas. Let's build a culture of respect, acknowledgment, and genuine collaboration in our workplaces, ensuring that our contributions are valued and recognized appropriately. 🚀 #WorkplaceWisdom #CollaborationEtiquette #ProfessionalGrowth #MarketingIdeas 💡 ⚡ 🚨

Corporate friendships in the workplace play a crucial role in shaping the dynamics within an organization. These relationships can have a significant impact, both positively and negatively, on the overall work environment. Benefits of corporate friendships include increased job satisfaction, improved communication leading to enhanced collaboration, higher productivity, a better work environment fostering positivity, and a support network for navigating challenges. However, potential drawbacks such as conflicts of interest, reduced objectivity, cliques and exclusion, distractions, and conflict spillover can arise if not managed effectively. To navigate and leverage these relationships successfully, it is essential to set boundaries, promote inclusivity, foster professionalism, and provide necessary training on conflict resolution and communication. By managing corporate friendships conscientiously, organizations can create a more enjoyable and productive workplace for all employees. #CorporateCulture #Workplacefriendships #ProfessionalDevelopment #Colleague

Are we really allowed to talk about feelings at work? Why is it important? How might we do it? How can we nudge vulnerability to flip the conversation and start to re-humanise our workplaces? As leaders, HR professionals, colleagues, team members - how do we want to feel and not feel at work to do our best work and to drive our own success and that of the teams we work with? I am delighted to build and develop my work as a certified ECD practitioner and had the great privilege to work with Jo Pinson and Bally Heera to consider with them what it is that is important for their success at work to feel/not feel (but they might from time to time). A very powerful two-hours of real human conversation, sharing, nudging vulnerability, raising self-awareness - the beginnings of talking things through using the ECD as an incredibly effective tool to cut through the everyday tumbleweed easily; create a roadmap for building an emotional culture aligned to goals and values; and model vulnerability-based trust – the foundations for a truly open and productive workplace. It is unbelievably simple to have honest and open conversations using the ECD. #ecd #emotions #culture #leadership #Inspiration #vulnerability #connection #humble Use the #1 game for better workplace culture to re-humanise the places you work. Hi LI Fam, Here's a small thought which has been revolving in my mind for the past few days - "Building Connections at Work." While it's a great goal to be friends with everyone at work, it's not always feasible. People have diverse personalities and boundaries. Here's a quick reality check: 🌐 Diverse Dynamics - Each person is unique, with different preferences and temperaments. Embrace the diversity but understand not everyone will connect on a personal level. ⏰ Time Constraints - Balancing professional and personal connections can be challenging due to time limitations. Prioritize meaningful interactions while being mindful of time constraints. 🔄 Respect Differences - People have varying expectations for work relationships. Some prefer a strictly professional approach, while others may be open to building closer connections. Respect these differences. Remember, while not everyone may become your close friend, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture is key. 🚀 #professionalism #organisationalculture #friends #teambuilding #team #connections #buildingconnections #hrcommunity #hrcommunication #talentmanagement #workplaceculture #workplaceconnections #hrmindset #hrtalks #culturematters #peopleandculture #peoplepleasing
