Visual Journaling is such a magical way to explore your thoughts and ideas! There are no rules, no right or wrong answers - only the opportunity for creativity. Check out this beautiful journal page from one of our participants who very creatively utilized an old book that they had from elementary school for the basis of the collage. This was created in our recent workshop titled Visual Journaling on the Winter Solstice from Teaching Artist: AshaAung Helmstetter. Want to learn more about Visual Journaling and other art forms? We have a few workshops coming up in the future that explore this topic: https://buff.ly/34uNcdv

A TYPICAL DAY WITH MY ART STUDENTS This is one of the scenarios you get to see in my Art class. This short video was captured when my Year 10 Art students took a short break today, during a session we had. It looks so untidy, you may say, but very appealing and interestingly artistic to me, as an Art Teacher and to anyone who is a lover of Art or art incline. One interesting thing about these set of students is that, whenever they are around, it is as if an invasion is taking place in the art studio. There presence can be intimidating and it is a very competitive class. Atimes, there colleagues in other classes will say, sir, tell your students to calm down a little now. The intimidation is too much, meaning - they are on fire, very determined and ready to do justice to any task giving. This competition and determination is as a result of my push, fun and the rigour I make them undergo. I can remember vividly at the beginning of the session. I tested them with a very difficult task, due to there number. I thought they chose the subject because of the relaxed and fun atmosphere the art class can wear. Eventually, they proved to me that they are really prepared for the rigour that comes with the syllabus. Obviously, they look unstoppable and I am encouraged to keep pushing them more, available to render needed assistance, until we achieve our goals. ---------------------------------------------------------------- You will get to see individual finished work produced at this art session, very soon. Watch the space! #ArtInvasion #Artsession #ArtInvaders #YoungArtistsUnleashed #ArtEducator #Artanddesignsession
