What do we say every Thanksgiving? Save room for pie... I love Thanksgiving. It's one holiday that the entire country celebrates, you get to spend time with your family or friends, and a four-day weekend feels luxurious. And, of course, pie. My Thanksgiving celebrations have become kind of predictable as of late, but maybe that's why I love them. Here's what I can expect again this year. What will make up your Thanksgiving pie?

Thanksgiving is more than just mashed potatoes and stretchy pants (though I love those too). It’s a chance to slow down and connect with the people you love. This year, skip the surface-level small talk and go deeper! Ask questions that matter and spark conversations that stay with you longer than the leftovers. Here are a few to try: ➡️ How do you want to be remembered? ➡️ What would you do if you weren’t afraid? ➡️ If you could relive one day in your life, what would it be? ➡️ What’s one decision you made this year that you’re proud of? ➡️ What are you looking forward to? Bring these to the table, or just keep them in your back pocket to pull out to fill an awkward silence. Use this holiday to have the kind of conversations that build meaningful connection. Because that’s what Thanksgiving is really about. ❤️ Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at FreshSparks!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂 Thanksgiving: a time for gratitude, great food, and... navigating the table talk with Uncle Harry or Aunt Beatrice. You know the ones—their "hot takes" and colorful commentary always seem to steal the spotlight. Here’s a thought: rather than sidestepping those conversations or bracing for impact, what if we approached them with curiosity? Instead of reacting, listen. Instead of debating, ask a question. It’s amazing how far empathy and a little humor can go toward transforming potentially tense moments into opportunities for connection. Thanksgiving isn’t just about the turkey; it’s about celebrating the differences that make us family. Who knows—maybe Uncle Harry’s outlandish story or Aunt Beatrice’s latest life advice will give you a perspective you hadn’t considered (or at least a story to tell for years to come!). Wishing you a day filled with patience, good vibes, and plenty of pie. 🥧 What’s your go-to strategy for those tricky holiday dinner conversations? Let’s hear it below!
