Sukkot, a Jewish holiday, is a time of celebration and reflection. What if you viewed it from a DE&I perspective? 1. An important theme of Sukkot is inclusion and hospitality. Sharing meals and celebrating together in the sukkah (a temporary dwelling made of branches and leaves) is Jewish tradition. DE&I efforts promote inclusion by creating an environment that welcomes and values all employees, customers, and stakeholders. 2. Introspection and self-reflection are also part of Sukkot. It is Jewish tradition to reflect and seek forgiveness for one's own actions and behavior. Empathy and self-awareness are crucial for DE&I efforts, as it encourages businesses to examine their own biases and practices, and work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive workplace. 3. Sukkot celebrates the harvest and earth's bounty, bringing the world together. This is a time to reflect on the interconnectedness of all life, and to express gratitude. A connection to the global community is particularly relevant to DE&I efforts since it encourages businesses to consider their impact on the wider world, and to work towards a more sustainable and equitable future.

To our Jewish friends and family, Happy Sukkot! Similar to Thanksgiving, Sukkot is a time to express appreciation for the bounty of the season and show gratitude for blessings like good food and safe shelter. #Sukkot #FeastOfBooths #Gratitude
