I received another amazing compliment from a candidate today, she thanked me and acknowledged me for supporting her through the interview process and giving her a well rounded look at role and the company. When I think about my role in Talent Acquisition the first thing that comes to mind is NOT whether or not I hit my weekly goals for interviews and submits? My candidate screenings aren't about answering questions on a check list. When I let someone know they aren't moving forward in the interview process I don't send them an auto response, I share valuable feedback about why they aren't a fit for the role. When I take a job brief from a hiring manager I don't just ask what the salary is and how soon they want to hire someone. i get a full picture of the ideal candidate and how they will add value to the team and company. I build relationships with candidates because candidates are people with lives and taking a new job is a big decision. I advise hiring managers on what's going on in the market place so they can make great hiring decisions. Because every person you hire is important to your business. Candidate experience is hugely important to me. My role in Talent Acquisition is to support candidates through the interview process and make it a great experience for them, and the hiring managers, whether the person gets the job or not.
