Wow, 2024 has been quite the ride so far! In December I went to visit my girlfriend in Yacolt, Washington, USA… and never left! On January 3rd we got engaged. (I just couldn’t wait 😄) A few days later, on the 9th, an airplane left for Stockholm with one empty seat. Fast forward to March 9th: we got married and I applied for a Green Card. Between January and July, I did my master’s thesis remotely, designing a microbubble generator, all while packing up my old life in Sweden: car sold, apartment emptied, bags flown over with my favorite underwear. It is crazy how things just fell into place. Huge thank you to everyone who helped – couldn’t have done it without you! 😊Honestly, kind of chill to have all of you guys do it 😉 JK. Since I missed the typical master’s presentation dates in June, I wrapped that up in October, and finally… five years of schooling was done. And here I am in a different country, with a temporary work permit in hand and a lovely wife by my side. But what next? In front of me was a void. The trodden path had come to an end. No roadmap, no idea of what the coming 3-5 years would take me. Sketchy! Like sometimes very scary. What in the world should I do? Do I even want to work as an engineer? Am I good enough? Everyone here just does plumbing! (Welcome to Yacolt… 😆) Like I said, sketchy. But also… exciting. Possibilities. Suddenly I could focus on the things I used to squeeze in around my studies. Since the summer of 2023, I’d been working with Team Lodge doing concept design. Eventually, I started to build an online configurator for them, where you can configure their trailers right on the website. My good friend Hugo Jönsson helped me with coding. This became my main focus when I finished, where I did all the design of the configurator as well as 3D models. During this project, I realized a few things: -         I love doing this. -         I love collaborating with talented friends. -         There is so much potential in 3D + Coding + Web. -         I want to do this more! So, to make that happen, VISBY LLC was born. Me, Hugo, and our good friend Reid Homola are the nerds behind it and we just launched the Team Lodge configurator at configurator.teamlodge.com. Day 1 of working on Brandcraft.art Day 2 since I announced the waitlist and we already have 13 subscribers. So far so good. Also, today marks my 33rd birthday! Happy bd to me :P Plan for today: - finish 5/9 - setup the infrastructure for building brandcraft, including: frontend, backend, docker, git, database, and hosting. - if time allows, create a backlog for tomorrow. Figuring it out never ends...... After a great lecture about #ideas, by Farza Majeed I really understood that ideas are forged not found. The story of Angry birds, Starwars, Nike are great but the story of Zipschool is also great. Hearing it, I realise that its true that time by time, day by day, from one single & simple idea, it will become a successful and a big achievement. And I think buildspace is one of them from a small idea to a big ones. So this lecture, organized by buildspace has opened my eyes and turned my viewpoint of seeing ideas. #buildspace #viewpoint #growth #develop
