Simulate and manipulate! 🕹️ An excellent initiative engaging young researchers and students in tackling complex issues related to autonomous robot manipulation. Organized by MathWorks, RoboCup Federation, and the Robot Grasping and Manipulation Competition at IEEE RAS ICRA. Students around the world can participate in these robotics challenges to build their skills and win prizes such as official certificates and even travel support to the RoboCup Finals. The Simulation Sorting Challenge is partnered with ICRA 2025, while the ARM Challenge is with the RoboCup Federation—both using simulated Universal Robots. These competitions also show how useful simulations are in robotics development.
