Dornbracht x Technische Hochschule Augsburg How much physical materiality is truly necessary in a digital world? This question serves as the foundation for our collaboration with the Technical University Augsburg and the students of interdisciplinary program "Interactive Media". By exploring different perceptions and associations of the bathroom, the students developed concepts that integrate transformation and movement. The "Transformative Spaces" installation blends tech, nature, & customization for fresh views on traditional bathroom design & hygiene rituals. Dynamic elements replace static, offering immersive experiences with motion, sound, or light, tailored to users' emotions. Together, we embark on an exploration of this inquiry through various approaches and perspectives. #PolyUDesign_TeachingLearning During the pandemic, public health has been increasingly emphasised, and creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone has become a hot topic.    The "Immu Chaise," supported by Public Design Lab, Co-designer and project PI - Prof. Kin Wai Michael Siu and Designer - Chi Hang Paul Lo, is leather public furniture with antiviral material. It is composited with leather and other materials and has antimicrobial properties that prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms. Besides its antibacterial powers, antiviral leather is also environmentally friendly. The manufacturing process involves sustainable practices and materials, reducing environmental impact and a lower carbon footprint.    We are thrilled to announce that the project has received the prestigious Green Good Design Award 2024.
