For 100 years in Belgium, we’ve been evolving to meet healthcare’s changing needs, with one goal: delivering better outcomes for more patients, faster. 💙 At the heart of our patient engagement is EMI—a symbolic face representing three core values: ● Equal partners: Patients are experts of their journey. We co-create solutions, bringing our combined expertise. ● Mutual value: We align priorities and ensure benefits for both patients and all stakeholders. ● Independence: We respect and promote the independence of the communities we work with, avoiding conflicts of interest. EMI isn’t just a name—it’s a daily reminder. Her face, painted by patient-artist Nicky Myny, is on our office walls, and a red chair in every room reminds us to always consider the patient’s perspective. Next week, during Patient Week, we’ll reflect on how to build a healthcare system where every voice matters. It’s a chance to reconnect with our mission: improving patients’ lives. #PatientWeek #EMI #PatientEngagement

Yesterday our CEO Dr Thomas Oakley spoke at the HSJ Events Modernising Diagnostics Forum panel on embedding community diagnostics. Speaking on the panel, Oakley discussed the need to think about how we can better utilise community diagnostic centre (#CDC) outputs to impact wider service delivery and patient waitlists as we try to build on the successes of the CDC programme. Whilst CDCs are increasing diagnostic capacity, to turn those tests into decisions, CDC outputs need to be embedded into patient journeys; supported by the right digital infrastructure. Bleepa allows you to integrate CDCs into broader clinical workflows, connecting primary and secondary care settings and giving regional oversight of the patient journey. Find out more about how we have been working with CDCs to reduce wait times and outpatient requirements by enabling clinicians to work more flexibly with powerful communication and referral tools, without the need for additional staff.

We're so pleased with the variety of discussions we’ve been a part of at #PatientsEU2024. #PatientCentric insights brought back to HQ that impressed our team of Angela Sarmiento Betancourt and Elena Kochova were: - We need to involve patients in the trial design from the get-go. Patients have great ideas and are willing to provide feedback. Patients should be partners! - We have the potential to greatly improve the trial experience for patients and sites by simplifying processes. By reducing the use of devices and platforms, minimizing procedures, and creating concise informed consents, we can ensure a more efficient and streamlined journey for all involved. This shift enables sites to dedicate more time to patient care, resulting in a more positive and effective trial environment. - The one size does not fit all theme is clearer than ever. Patients come with different backgrounds, experiences, and needs, as well as a unique disease trajectory. By prioritizing inclusivity and adaptability, we enrich both the trial experience and the quality of our research outcomes." At our booth, we were able to answer questions about our ‘Green Wave’ approach to boosting patient access to and participation in #clinicaltrials. Our team demonstrated our multi-stakeholder platform and how we've been breaking clinical trial barriers across the whole funnel by building the latest in healthcare technology and innovation, our one-on-one patient navigator service, and our medical community team support for physicians. See you all at the next conference! Read more on our Green Wave approach in our eBook here: https://lnkd.in/dyUXdj96

Putting the patient at the centre of care is one of the topics we would like to discuss with you during the upcoming #ERA24 Congress in Stockholm. Modern PD is the culmination of multiple recent advancements in clinical practice and technological innovation that are yielding improved survival, increasing patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes that, in some cases, are outpacing those of HD.^ What’s your opinion? Visit our Baxter stand D320 and let us know. Your Voice. Their Choice. #ModernPD For Healthcare Professionals only. At Lyra, our outcomes data tracking drives our overall care quality which leads to better outcomes for our customers and members. 📊 Lower-quality care may appear good enough at first, with lower advertised per-visit fees. However, when treatments do not work reliably and outcomes aren't tracked, members end up needing even more care, and customers end up paying more in the end. With our new study, we can now prove that better clinical outcomes translate directly into exceptional cost-effectiveness: https://bit.ly/3A0T2p4. 💰

Yesterday was International Clinical Trials Day. At our core is perseverance, a fierce determination to overcome any obstacle regardless of setbacks, on behalf of patients and their loved ones. We place greater value on what we can achieve together than on what we can do alone because the needs of those we serve always come first. We will not be bound by doing what’s been done before. Instead, we free ourselves from preconceived notions to discover solutions that advance patient care. Our mission is clear: Otsuka-people, creating new products for better health worldwide.
