🚀 The Ohio Manufacturing Innovation Center (OMIC) Supports GhostWave Inc. Phase I STTR 🚀 We are thrilled to report that OMIC was hired by GhostWave Inc. to assist with their Phase I STTR AFWERX project, providing technical research and Customer Discovery support. 📝🔍 Our dedicated team successfully executed the STTR support effort making significant strides in the Customer Discovery process. The OMIC team of STEM interns mentored by an experienced professional identified and reached out to over 115 potential customers with specific technical interests germane to the STTR project. This led to meaningful interactions with about 20 Air Force and DoD personnel. OMIC support has already resulted in 7 productive meetings for GhostWave and a new contact to potentially provide the necessary memorandum for a Phase II proposal submission. 🤝📊 This project is a perfect example of how OMIC can work with startups and small businesses to provide invaluable guidance and support through the SBIR/STTR process. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to advance your research and development, OMIC offers three levels of consulting services tailored to your company's needs. Ready to take your company to the next level? Let OMIC help you navigate the path to success! #OMIC #STTR #SBIR #StartupSupport #Innovation #CustomerDiscovery #TechnicalResearch #Engineering #AirForce #DoD #SummerInternship

Really enjoyed the webinar "Introduction to Tech Operator Role" organized by the 3MTT Team! A tech operator plays a crucial role in the tech ecosystem, controlling specific work sections and doing the "dirty work" to succeed early in their career. Key takeaways include seeing oneself as the business's engine room, taking charge of one's career, staying ahead by researching, seeking early opportunities, embracing volunteer roles, being a generalist before a specialist, and surrounding oneself with a supportive network. Thanks to the 3MTT Team for this insightful seminar! #My3MTT #3MTTWeeklyReflection

Staff Software Engineer, Ally, Writer, Gamer, Husband, Father (of 3). Passionate about computers and people.
One of the best pieces of #advice I got near the beginning of my #career came from Monica Mills: "Get super comfortable with one specialization before branching out into other things." I'm so grateful for this advice, and I forward it to #JrDevs whenever I'm asked. Here's why: #SoftwareEngineering is all patterns built on top of other patterns. Once you learn the patterns for and become specialized in one area, switching to something else and becoming really good at it is quick and easy. All of the patterns are the same regardless of what framework or part of the stack you're working in. So, instead of diving into a dozen different things at the same time, learn one thing really well and then use that expertise to propel yourself forward into new technologies and frameworks!
